About this deal

Minelab’s Vanquish 440 is a great entry-level metal detector with some features that are not often found on beginner metal detectors. It comes standard with Minelab’s patented Multi-IQ technology. Multi-IQ is a multiple frequency technology that allows the metal detector to operate on multiple frequencies simultaneously. What really sets the Vanquish 440 apart from other entry level metal detectors is the Multi-IQ technology. The Equinox 600 and 800 have the same Multi-IQ technology, but at a hugely increased price. The Simplex+ is a great model too, but only has a single frequency. The company designed a new shaft for its new metal detectors product line, as it was done for Minelab Go-Find. However, unlike that model, this one has a sectional shaft and it’s not that small sized. as seen in the Equinox Series which made it a real game changer in the metal detecting world and by far the best selling metal detector in 2018, 2019 and probably all-time to date. Both the Vanquish 440 and Vanquish 540 metal detectors feature Minelab’s Multi-IQ technology. Both have 19 automatic noise cancel. Both have 10 levels of sensitivity and volume adjustments. The Vanquish 540 has adjustable iron bias while the 440 has iron bias preset at high. The Vanquish 540 has Bluetooth connectivity while the 440 does not.

Moreover, a new series of coils that were developed specifically for Vanquish machines attracts attention as well. All metal detectors in the series have DD coils, which is really cool (best regards to Garrett again!). One huge advantage for the Minelab Vanquish series over the competition is the ability to run on multiple frequencies simultaneously. None of the other entry level metal detectors (besides the Minelab Equinox line) feature this technology. No other entry level metal detector offers operating frequencies as high as the Vanquish series, either. The Vanquish 440 also includes pin-point mode, headphones, rain cover, arm strap and skid plate. Multi-IQ For All One of the most curious peculiarities of this Vanquish series is the Multi-IQ technology, that seems to break all the stereotypes and norms about entry-level metal detectors. And this is little surprise, really, since the competitors are literally close on the heels. Nokta Makro, for example, have developed an underwater detector with semi-automatic Ground balance – Nokta Makro Simplex – and this device is meant for beginners! That is you are transmitting and receiving on all supported frequencies at the same time as opposed to selecting just one frequency from a given range to use at any one time, On/Off - zapnutí detektoru, nastavení hlasitosti, All Metal, Pinpoint, nastavení citlivosti, nastavení diskriminace a přepínání pracovních režimů. There are a few detectors on the market that claim to be multi-frequency, but they actually only switch between single frequencies, operating on just one at a time. Probably the most exciting feature of the Vanquish 440, which puts it way ahead of others in its price range (and above), is the inclusion ofMinelab's groundbreaking Multi-IQ technologyseenon Minelab'sEquinox series machines, theworld's best-selling metal detectors of 2018/2019,and also the first detectors to offer true simultaneous detection of multiple frequencies. All the Vanquish Series detectors operate on three frequencies, low, medium, and high simultaneously, giving you the best of all worlds whatever you are searching for. You’ll be a bit crazy professional. Since, I personally, won’t be able to dig having 5 discrimination segments in my device… Noise cancel Three tones are factory set at Low, Medium and High all of which are clear and very distinguishable. Not surprisingly, I like this set up since I programmed my Equinox 800 and my CTX 3030 years ago to report 3 tones. Personally, I don’t need any more than 3 since ALL targets encountered are either low, medium or high conductors so why not align the tones accordingly? A simplified plus in my book.

A: Yes! Because they are multiple frequency, they can help themselves mitigate the effects of wet sand and saltwater. Single frequency metal detectors struggle in saltwater because of its conductivity. The range of frequencies these models operate on also help you find lost jewelry and coins at the beach. It has 3 Target Tones (Low, Mid, High) and 10 adjustable volume levels so you can adjust it to the most comfortable setting. The standard coil on the 440 is a waterproof (up to 3.3 feet) V10 (10” by 7”) Double-D search coil. The Vanquish line can use different coils.Caveat: As with any field test, the results reflect and are dependent upon the specific test conditions/environment, selected targets and mineralization level of the soil, sand and water. Results of similar tests conducted under different conditions can be expected to vary from those reported here.

Purpose: Evaluate the overall operational capability, sensitivity and stability of the Minelab Vanquish 440 metal detector under various test conditions. As always, I report findings and provide comments from strictly a user perspective–not that of a technical engineer. The real intelligence of the system is that the Multi-IQ processing will collate and compare the signals from alloperating frequencies, analyzingthe similarities and differences between them to get a clearer picture of what's really down there. This gives you better target ID and discrimination at greater depth, and the versatility to perform in a wider range of ground types, handling mineralisation, wet sand, etc. That means you can find and identify targets that a single frequency will struggle with. The 340 is the lowest model with the fewest features, while the 540 is the highest model with most features. All the Vanquish metal detectors were made for entry level to intermediate metal detectorists, so they are user friendly and simple to master. More than that, the real intelligence of the system is that the Multi-IQ processing will collate and compare the signals from all operating frequencies, It is quite logical that Jewelry mode will differ and have higher operating frequencies, while Relics mode will have lower ones. However, the company doesn’t specify the exact values of operating frequencies. So, you go metal detecting with one device, but it seems that it has five different operating frequencies simultaneously. This way, target detection precision, and differentiation are guaranteed.

Proč Multi-IQ? Protože díky revoluční technologii Multi-IQ máte kombinovanou sílu více detektorů v jednom - všechny pracovní frekvence detektoru běží současně. Přitom nic nenastavujete, prostě detektor zapnete a jdete.

I found the stability at the beach to rival that of other Minelab multi frequency detectors. It’s truly at home in a salt water environment. In discrimination mode, it was quiet and stable throughout the wet sand. In the surf, I reduced the sensitivity from level 10 to 8 and it performed flawlessly. Each of these metal detectors would be a great investment for a beginning detectorist. Minelab’s Vanquish line is changing the game by offering a true multiple frequency metal detector at an entry-level price. The Vanquish 440 is a great all-purpose metal detector and the Multi-IQ technology is a huge advantage. So, let’s take a closer look at Vanquish. Here we’ll deal with a metal detector pretty similar to Minelab Equinox, but with sufficiently decreased functionality. Separation: Conducted on dry land, each of the various targets shown/ below were positioned between two rusted, dime size iron washers. Both washers were then moved equally and incrementally toward that target. The test continued until the closest point at which the target could be clearly detected and not masked by the junk was determined.analasing the similarities and differences between them to get a clearer picture of what's really down there.
