For the first step you need to choose your book title, and there is an 8 character limit for this. The floral deign is then added around your title to frame this in the best possible way, so the layout may change to the books shown in the images, however the design will remain the same.

The second step is to add the Author's name, which can be your name or the name of the person who the gift is intended for. Both the title and the author's name will both be displayed vertically along the spine of the book.
