Achieving a DofE Award helps to bridge the gap between education and employment. Many companies view the DofE award as a mark of excellence when choosing candidate for an interview and use it as a development and training toll for their young employees for example - Rolls Royce and British Gas. The aim of this section is to inspire young people to develop initiative and a sense of adventure and discovery, by planning, training for and completing an expedition as part of a team. This means that the groups of 4-7 plan and undertake an expedition choosing an appropriate mode of travel to complete their expedition over the required number of days. Bronze expeditions take place in the Lincolnshire Wolds over two days. Silver expeditions take place in the White Peak Derbyshire over three days and gold are undertaken over 5 days in the Dark Peak Derbyshire and the Yorkshire Dales. Our students enjoy a full and rounded learning experience preparing them for life after 6 th Form. Employability One important expectation is to volunteer to help others in a range of ways such as: helping in activities at the Academy or in the local community such in the uniformed groups: Scouting, Girl guiding, Army or Air cadets. Fundraising for charity and undertaking gardening for local councils are just two of the projects groups can do. Some colleges in Canada, Singapore, Australia, and India also accept Digital SAT Scores. These colleges and universities consider the Digital SAT score as an important metric and an essential part of the admissions process. Therefore, students aiming to bolster their college applications, demonstrate their academic abilities, or qualify for scholarships should consider taking the Digital SAT. Additionally, the digital format may be particularly appealing to those who are comfortable with technology and prefer a more interactive testing experience.

Why should a student spend hours traveling daily to attend classes and while away his valuable time when he/ she can attend the classes at the comfort of his/her home? You will need to attend an admission meeting at the Academy, however currently due to the Coronavirus pandemic, tours are dependent on government guidance at that time. You will complete our admission paperwork and sign the home Academy policy.

I am also part of the police support unit (PSU). As part of a PSU, officers deploy to riots and other large events such as football matches. Participants follow their chosen activities, largely in their own time, with guidance from someone knowledgeable in the subject. Once the requirements for each section are fulfilled the participant qualifies for an award. All pupils are given a planner when they join us. A fee will be incurred should the planner need replacing.
