About this deal

Mary Jane Watson is also kidnapped by Venom early in the game. While Spider-Man manages to stop Sandman and rescue Mary Jane, he fails to prevent Harry from killing Norman Osborn during their final battle atop Oscorp Tower.

The result is janky camera angles and an open-world fee that, like Spiderman 3, has those boundaries that restrict you when all you want to do is swing beyond the boundaries. All Lego video games are incredible. Thats the official overview, but I better go into this game in more detail otherwise I’m not going to hit my word count… Luke must have got something right because Spiderman doesn’t die when he falls from buildings anymore! The morality system of choosing to help people or ignore crimes is a nice touch too. It’s not quite Infamous, but it’s something! 9. Spiderman 3 (2007)

You’ll also get bonuses if your four player team contains members from the same team or franchise, but where’s the fun in that! Spider-Man takes Mary Jane Watson, his girlfriend, on a thrill ride, and after that, talks about Harry. Mary Jane comforts him; while talking, the symbiote attaches to Peter's shoe. Meanwhile, Harry comes out of a chamber in the Green Goblin lair, filled with Goblin gas.

The time-travelling elements and cut-scenes are very well made (getting time travel right and tying up all the loose ends is hard in any time travelling story!), but the gameplay takes the shine off these brilliant bits. Miller, Greg (May 4, 2007). "Spider-Man 3 Review (PS2)". IGN. Archived from the original on April 26, 2014 . Retrieved April 25, 2014. I think that last one sounds a little suspect, so probably the symbiote one! 4. Marvel: Ultimate Alliance (2006) Then SM3's web swinging mechanic was garbage on the ps2 version. It was completely different than both SM3 on ps3/360, and SM2. Why would it have a worse mechanic than SM2? Why not just use the same one..?

The Darkness

Electro (Max Dillon) (First appearance) (GBA version only) (Mentioned in Xbox 360, PS3 and PC versions) Pros: The scale of the city is great and being able to freely explore subways and the sewers was a welcome addition. The number of interiors with no loading times is very impressive too Damiano, Greg (May 11, 2007). "Spider-Man 3 Review (X360, PS3)". Game Revolution. Archived from the original on April 26, 2014 . Retrieved April 26, 2014. Spidey's swinging animations have some work put into it. The QTEs too have some of the most exciting looking set pieces animation wise Now you may be thinking, should I buy this game? I say yes, sure. Buy the game. Overall, it's a very enjoyable game, but it DOES get very tough at times. But if you enjoyed Spider-Man 2 then you should enjoy Spider-Man 3. The game is a bit of a disappointment, seeing how it's not as good as I thought it would be, but overall, it's still an enjoyable game.

The comparison gallery highlights pretty well both similarities and differences, but what it can't show is that the frame-rate also suffers a little in comparison to its 360 twin, which itself tends to struggle with the game's more complex environments. Loading times are a few seconds longer too. The 360 version's Achievements are perfectly replicated on PS3 in the form of 'Accomplishments', but obviously there's no running points total on your PSN profile to attach them to, and as yet, no PlayStation Home to show them off in trophy form. This opens up an entirely new discussion on how powerful Achievements are in extending replay value on a game, but I think that's best left to you guys to mull over in the comments section. Yes, you know I’m a big fan of games that test your morals, and Web of Shadows is no different. Will you opt for the tendril terror of the symbiote or the the web of justice? At first, it's breathtaking. Activision says the city is 2.5 times bigger than the one in Spider-Man 2, and as the sun bathes the towering buildings in light and you somersault into different sections of the sprawling metropolis without any load times, it's easy to get swept away in the visual upgrade. You throw a web -- it comes out lax, hits something and goes taut in Spidey's hand -- and set off to bring justice to the city, which is no small task in the sandbox environment. Sound, no complaints here. The music in the game is fitting for a Spider-Man game and the voices sound crisp and clear.Miller, Greg (May 4, 2007). "Spider-Man 3 Review (X360, PS3)". IGN. Archived from the original on April 23, 2014 . Retrieved April 25, 2014. The missions don’t offer much more than Spiderman 3 and they are a little repetitive, but graphically it’s a winner… when the camera angles allow you to see what’s going on. Navarro, Alex (May 4, 2007). "Spider-Man 3 Review (X360, PS3)". GameSpot. Archived from the original on April 7, 2015 . Retrieved April 25, 2014. Navarro, Alex (May 7, 2007). "Spider-Man 3 Review (PS2)". GameSpot. Archived from the original on August 9, 2016 . Retrieved April 25, 2014. My main gripe with this game is that it’s all combat based. There’s not a lot of story for a traditional Spiderman game.
