He will surely turn violently and toss you like a ball into a large country; there you shall die, and there your glorious chariots shall be the shame of your master’s house. So I will drive you out of your office, and from your position, he will pull you down.'” Another map of the Valley of Vision: this one shows important biblical points of interest. The Kidron Valley goes from Jerusalem and pours into the Dead Sea. Isaiah 22:5-7 In the Valley of Vision, you will find no deliverance. Thus says the Lord GOD of hosts: “Go, proceed to this steward, to Shebna, who is over the house, and say: ‘ The film takes viewers on a journey through different landscapes and environments, each of which is meant to reflect a different aspect of the human experience. The visuals are stunning, and virtual reality makes the experience feel more real and immersive than anything else. Quite possibly the best book I've read all year. These prayers are amazing. In Mudhouse Sabbath, Lauren Winner talks about the benefit of a formal prayer book. She notes that her free-form prayers often devolve into narcissism (this has definitely been my experience), but that the formal, written prayers refocus her on God. This book is a great example of the benefit of written prayers. My own free-form prayers often send me down a rabbit hole of my own personal worries and burdens--worries and burdens that I am right to share with God. But I think every one of the prayers in this book contains the Gospel, and when I read them, I am preaching the Gospel to myself. Instead of bringing my problems to God for Him to change, I find my focus shifting to my own sin, God's grace, Christ's sacrifice, and my own undeserved salvation.

He had access to the house of the precious things, the silver, and the gold, and the spices. And to the house of the armor and the treasures (ch. 39:2), and disposed of the stores there as he thought fit for the public service. Sovereign Grace Music has produced an album of songs inspired by some of the prayers in The Valley of Vision. Regarding the collection they say, The strength of Puritan character and life lay in prayer and meditation. In this practice the spirit of prayer was regarded as of first importance and the best form of prayer, for living prayer is the characteristic of genuine spirituality. Yet prayer is also vocal and may therefore on occasions be written. Consequently in the Puritan tradition there are many written prayers and meditations which constitute an important corpus of inspiring devotional literature.Thou hast brought me to the valley of vision, where I live in the depths but see thee in the heights; hemmed in by mountains of sin I behold thy glory. The people should have mourned their broken city walls which reflected their broken spiritual condition. Instead of mourning, many chose a different path. Instead of turning in humility toward the LORD, they expressed confidence in their preparations and took on a fatalistic outlook toward the future by crying, “Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die!” Your slain men are not slain with the sword, nor dead in battle. All your rulers have fled together, they are captured by the archers. Because Eliakim saw his service to the LORD as a priority, he was given great authority. He was granted ownership of a key prophetic privilege and title. And he was given The key of the house of David, to which God said, “I will lay on his shoulder.”

The prophet likened the city to a valley of vision because it was there that God met the kings and prophets of Israel. Jerusalem was the city of God. The priests of God led the People of God into worship from the temple. That glorious temple was patterned after the throne in Heaven. But sadly, when Isaiah uses this term, Valley of Vision, it’s more satirical than fact. In his day, Isaiah realized the valley of vision, Jerusalem, would soon be destroyed. The glorious visions would have to wait while judgment came first. If The Valley Of Vision is a journey through human emotions, Letting Go is acceptance. The simplicity of the lyrics reflect deep feelings, and the message here is painful, but portrayed well. The experimental elements of the EP are demonstrated here, with various sound effects and synths, and while it does feel very slightly chaotic, it seems to work.

He removed the protection of Judah. You looked in that day to the armor of the House of the Forest, you also saw the damage to the city of David, that it was great, and you gathered together the waters of the lower pool.
