About this deal

I've skimmed the kindle version i bought for a quick overview and like this very sensible approach to trying to lose weight but without sacrificing flavour, and still having a reasonable size portion. I'm going to enjoy making many of these recipes for the whole family without telling them they are low calorie meals, that way i can try and discretely stay on a diet but without having to prepare two different meals at each sitting. So I’ve developed lots of tasty and satisfying recipes that people will love to cook and eat, but that will also help them lose weight. Would highly recommend this Recipe Book for those who want to eat great food without blowing the calorie allowance. The ingredients Tom uses and even substitute ingredients that replace all the bad stuff we normally consume, are all readily available at most supermarkets which makes getting the stuff you need really easy. Tom Kerridge worked as a chef in restaurants across Britain before deciding to set out on his own and take over a rundown pub in the quiet Buckinghamshire town of Marlow.

Featuring ALL the recipes from his BBC2 TV series, Tom Kerridge shows how you can enjoy all your FAVOURITE FOODS and still LOSE WEIGHT with his LOWER-CALORIE DIET WITH A DIFFERENCE. Each recipe has an approx calorie count and there is a list of calories per common food item, helpful if you want to substitute when the recipe includes things you don't care for. And at times just seem to be lower portion size versions of familiar dishes with one or two high calorie ingredients swapped out.I have forced myself to make as much recipes as possible from the book, even if I didn’t know the ingredients or the spices. Then I tried a Chicken Tikka Dish from this very book that I had at my Sister's house and I was blown away by the flavour combination and the fact that it was a healthy meal, so that combined with the transformation that "Big Tom! This is a low-calorie diet with a difference - it's based on hunger-satisfying portions of delicious, low-calorie dishes that taste amazing.

It’s impossible to stick to a diet if the food you’re expected to eat is boring and doesn’t fill you up.I have tried a few of the Breakfast Meals so far, in particular, the "Overnight Porridge and Berry Compote" and the Cajun Scrambled Eggs and they are super tasty, and the best part of these meals even though its only breakfast, You Don't Feel Hungry an hour later which has stopped me from wanting to snack between meals. Now Tom is turning his attention to helping food-lovers who have chosen a low-calorie diet as their own route to weight-loss. Tom also uses some very creative ways of incorporating flavour to the dishes without the calories which is an incredible achievement to me, as Tom has managed to make Healthy Food Interesting, Enjoyable and keeps you feeling full through the day.

I am a big lad, and do struggle with weight issues, saw the program on the telly and thought bang on, tasty looking dinners and no too hard to make, ok so it is the telly and obviously edits and whatever will make it seem easier than what it is but why no give it a go if it doesn’t work then back to a chippy tea, had the book for about three weeks and have made about 12/13 recipes. Whilst all the fresh ingredients are easily available, there are a few sauces and pastes in here that may not immediately seem easily accessible. Tom Kerridge shows how you can enjoy all your FAVOURITE FOODS and still LOSE WEIGHT with his LOWER-CALORIE DIET WITH A DIFFERENCE.It might seem a little weird to add a cookery book to "favourites" and "would read again" but this is for sure one of my favorite books to DATE. It's hard to find low calorie diet books that cater to vegetarian diets as well, and then this book came along. Tasty and interesting recipes, full of flavour, for low calorie food, they are delicious, some of the recipes do take a time to complete but are well worth the wait, there are also some quick dishes if you don't have a lot of time, there are clever swaps to use less calories. Many thanks to the chef/author for including so many "comfort" dishes that would normally be no go for dieters.
