About this deal

Add the Pioneer DJ-SP1 Controller for Serato DJ to a set-up that supports mixing and scratching with Serato DJ Pro – for example a laptop, or timecode CDJs/turntables with a DJM-900SRT mixer – and use the pre-mapped buttons and dials to trigger 6 samples, 8 Hot Cues and more than 30 FX Powered by iZotope – without the need to touch a keyboard or mouse. The DDJ-SP1 is designed to be the ideal companion to Pioneer's new DJM-900SRT mixer but can also be matched with other systems via its MIDI controller functionality.

Like the forerunner that came before it, the DDJ-SP1 withstands the unpredictable environment of the DJ booth, with a stylish yet durable aluminum faceplate. It also includes a Slip Mode to keep tracks playing muted during live edits such as scratching and looping. While the SP1 is optimized for Serato DJ (but works with other MIDI-compatible software), it does not actually include a license for Serato DJ.

It also bears the same strong, confidence-inspiring build quality as the monstrous DDJ-SX, with seemingly identical control components and a robust chassis with an aluminum top panel. The MIDI assigning functions means that you can send controlling information to external devices and access your DDJ-SP1as a controller. If you’re a Serato DJ user who doesn’t think their controller provides adequate access to certain performance modes and effects, then the Pioneer DDJ-SP1 could be perfect for you.

The DDJ-SP1 is made for Serato software users who want to add effects when using a professional DJ setup of two players and a mixer such as the DJM-900SRT. It won’t unlock Serato DJ on its own, but it does include Serato Video, and the ability to control it. The DDJ-SP1 is designed to be the ideal companion to Pioneer’s new DJM-900SRT mixer but can also be matched with other systems via its MIDI controller functionality. Aside from the transport and mixer controls, you can handle with your Serato DJ unit, the DDJ-SP1 deck sections also include a host of other brilliant performance controls too. These Serato DJ FX provides added depth to your mixes, allowing you to incorporate everything from reverbs and delays to distortion and filters.Pressing the pads plays the slices in looped fashion until you release the pad and playback resumes. With this powerful tool, you get to add pre-mapped dials and buttons to the software samples, including eight hot cues and more than 30 FX options powered by iZotope. A single fader knob in the middle controls the volume, three knobs on both sides for controlling FX parameters and a BPM jogwheel make up the main controls of the DDJ-SP1. There’s no license for Serato DJ included, although you can upgrade if you have Serato Scratch Live.

The encoder scrolls through your folder tree on the left or the main track browser, and pushing the encoder or the Back button beneath it toggles between the two areas. The FX Assign buttons on the DDJ SP1 to ensure that you can assign the FX1 and FX2 units to up to four active decks. WARNING: When your Decksaver cover is in place, please ensure that your equipment is kept away from direct heat sources, such as radiators, fires, and direct sunlight. The rubber pads and buttons are robust and durable, while the aluminum top plate gives the controller a premium look that will look good in any set-up. The DDJ-SP1 also features dedicated buttons for the slicer and sampler as well as the roll and hot cue functionality.I've been looking for a companion controller for Serato to control the application while I spin otherwise on an all analog setup. You get lots of amazing functionality in a compact device, and there’s even support for Serato video too. Malheureusement il est plutôt encombrant et surtout ne fonctionne pas avec SDJ en mode offline, donc impossible de préparer ses pistes avec en déplacement sans avoir de quoi débloquer Serato. Pioneer seems to have something for everyone in its collection of powerful controllers and add-on tools. The DDJ SP1 wonderfully complements tools like the DJM-900SRT, but it could also perform brilliantly with a wide selection of alternative Serato DJ controllers.

There’s a manual loop mode on the DDJ-SP1, where you can just have your pads function exactly as the printed text over them suggests. You get an excellent level of stability and firmness here, and you can play on the pads rapidly without worrying about damage. In addition to the sample fader, the add-on controller features a slip mode, which keeps tracking playing muted whilst making live edits.
