Instruments and vocals are placed linearly from left to right with little to no depth and some aspects to the mix are easier to localize than others. This type of device allows you to listen at lower volume levels, causing less ear fatigue as you don't have to crank up the volume to overcome background noise. We found the controls to be very responsive and never found we pressed by mistake or picked the wrong controls.
As I alluded to earlier, the W240TNs feel very limited since they only have access to SBC, even though they also have Bluetooth 5. Under IP55 rate, dust and water won't stop the W240TN, you can enjoy outdoor activities and gym sessions. The charging case is equipped with dynamic light bars while the light effects also inform the state of the earbuds.
The metallic surface on the buds now has a giant button that is limited to a number of presses either double or triple taps or long presses providing a number of controls without the need of taking your phone out of your pocket perfect if cycling.
Thanks to its design, as well as its stable and secure fit, the W240TN’s noise-cancelling performance mostly impresses. Battery life is outstanding: you get up to 7 hours of playtime with ANC on, and can extend it about an hour with the function turned off. Sub-bass, too, is a little on the surface, providing some controlled, but not a very deep rumble in James Blake's great test track Limit To Your Love. It always impresses me when a set of inexpensive true wireless headphones can manage a well-organized soundstage. Still, it feels pointlessly limited to have customizable controls, yet you can't map the left and right buds individually.

Like the recently released Soundcore Life A3i, the Edifier W240TN is a pair of stemless wireless earbuds with Active Noise Cancelling, a Transparency mode and actual buttons instead of touch panels. They're forward, crisp, and vibrant; just as easily dipping into the lows as reaching the higher notes. The Edifier W240TN provides you with ANC and in testing, I was impressed they did a solid job of reducing unwanted distractions like passing cars or that group of ladies who chat quite loudly on the train.
Its aesthetic build is quite nice too, with a singular design that sets itself apart from other true wireless earphones on the market. Armed with a 10mm woofer and 6mm tweeter, the Edifier W240TN could be classified as a warm sonic bath.
