I’ve been using the pump on a daily basis for the past few weeks, and can honestly say that while the filling process isn’t for couch potatoes, it definitely feels much easier than it did when I started out. This is almost certainly down to me adopting a better technique, but I may actually be getting a little fitter into the bargain!
It's important to know that due to state and local laws, there are certain restrictions for various products. For those of you who don’t want to have to deal with or carry around a heavy piece of kit, then this hand pump could be the perfect alternative. It’s far cheaper than its rivals, and even though, as you would expect, it comes with far fewer functions and isn’t quite as high performance, when compared to the price of the other compressors on this list it can still get the job done. Precharged Pneumatic Air Guns are new technology of airguns and contain a cylinder with highly pressurised air. This is normally around 200-250 bar depending on the gun (your car tyre only has around 2-2.5 bar). PCP air guns are virtually recoilless and are very high powered. However, they do have to be filled externally via hand pumps, air cylinders or compressors, which can be expensive to use. With the third tube filled, you push down again to create an even greater pressure by compressing the air until the pressure is high enough to be greater than the pressure inside the air rifle’s reservoir. At this point, you start filling the PCP airgun. It can be a bit confusing to read, but really, it’s not that difficult: Mostly, PCP air rifles can be filled with a PCP pump within five minutes or so. This is, as the air reservoir isn’t completely empty and has a base pressure. With that, we mean the pressure where the PCP air rifle starts to lose power and consistency.
