About this deal

The art is very boring, and pretty much generic if I have to sum it up. Literally nothing special to even call it a masterpiece. She's starting to be the part of his life now where he uses his time to visit her in his free time and clearly I did not expect him to change from someone who's a complete loner and introverted who's focusing only on himself to someone who's starting to even observe other people and showing an interest in other people after just a few months meeting her. Apart from that, this story also explores what relationships mean to us and how they define us, and what it truly means to be alive. How people impact us in the same way we impact them. The innate beauty in being able to recognize ourselves in others, as living, breathing human beings. Some of the characters were pretty much left out, and some that were introduced were very boring and was forced to love each other because the plot calls for it. It's original and it's honest. I Want to Eat Your Pancreas will certainly tug at your heart strings. I did not cry at this one but it did make my heart swell to double its size. It's one of those books that you finish, put down, and then sit in silent reflection for a few minutes before you're able to move on.

I always thought I am enough and I will never need to know another person. And you gave me reasons why I need to know someone I can rely on. You will always be remembered. Hope you and my darling cats are enjoying there. You went away on the same day for me. Hope you stay together for long, comfort my kitties when they remember me. When you cry, they will stay and comfort you too. They are very good at that. Stay warm. There are many subtle details that slowly develop and showcase their relationship. They are perhaps too subtle for the manga. The art wasn't developed in a way to showcase these subtitles so that the reader could put together their import later. The art isn't bad... in fact I found the art in the last 25% so beautiful with these delightful screens that added so much depth to the art. This is a time where the fact this was adapted from a light novel caused the I Want to Eat Your Pancreas manga to suffer a little. I could see that the mangaka artist started to really get in stride with the art, but too late for it to impact the middle of the story like it needed to. In the end the frames were better developed to showcase the idea of an event better in a single frame. Now on to the story. See the reason I put [No Name]-Kun is because our hero doesn't give his name out. Well he does, but every time someone says it he pictures hearing what THEY think of him. So it makes for some funny scenes, and at the same time makes you feel awful for him. This is a clever story idea, similar to Silent Voice (another great manga) in which the character when looking at faces sees a huge X on them because he's too scared to actually look them in the face after being bullied for so long. So when No Name-kun finds the diary of Sakura and learns she has this disease she decides to befriend him completely. Seeing as he'll be the ONLY one she knows besides her direct family that knows about her dying.

Adapted from the novel of the same name, this manga is simply amazing in so many ways. Just by reading the synopsis, you can feel a huge load of emotions welling up right away. The novel has already touched the hearts of thousands of people, winning numerous awards. I bet it will do the same to you as well. Really liked it, the art carrying a melancholic feel but also a bright atmosphere as well. Perfect for this kind of story. I hope the anime adaptation does just as well on that. a b c d e "Kimi no Suizō o Tabetai Coming-of-Age Novel Gets Anime Film in 2018". Anime News Network. August 6, 2018 . On the one hand, this could have turned out extremely trite, with characters working as living tropes and a storyline more predictable than the death of the character who walks into the basement during a horror movie. Overall, this manga manages to be insightful without shoving weighty, profound pinnacles of philosophy into your head. It leaves you to draw your own conclusions without seeming patronizing, and maintains a healthy balance of humor and looming grief.

Having a pancreatic disease, Sakura had a little time in this beautiful world. Although Haruki & Sakura both were classmates, they were like strangers. Suddenly, they came to know each other through the library committee. She used to mix with him by force as Haruki seemed to be shut up. One day in the corridor of a hospital he found a diary telling about a disease which was Sakura's. That's how Haruki gets to know about her little life. He was the only one outside the family who knew that bad news. Sakura was given advice that she should spend time on those things she really wanted to do. Then, she started to do so according to the advisor, Haruki. Both of them made great effects on their life. He got to know the real meaning of life. I've read the novel AND the manga. One thing I can tell you is that I was a bit disappointed by the manga, as some important By the time that I finished reading, I was absolutely emotionally drained. And physically, but that was probably because of the run my mom made me go on. I don't think I've ever cried so much over the fragility and virtue of human life. They became friends. Yes. Sometimes it’s confusing to be just friends when you come to like someone with all your heart. But then it’s okay to be friends as long as you are both together enjoying the littlest things in life.

Thank you, Yamauchi. You helped me through one of my darkest days. I am still grieving but you are comforting me now. She has been diagnosed with a fatal condition involving her pancreas. She knows she doesn't have much time left. Probably less than a year. But she's still full of energy and vigor. She wants to keep living her life until it's over. Death can come for all of us at any time. She's just more aware of this than most others. A tragic story about a young, energetic high school girl diagnosed with pancreatic cancer that is terminal enjoying her last days with your average, gloomy high school boy who subsequently never decided to socialize with his peers until he met Sakura. it's not only tragic, but absolutely romantic with a ointment of comedy. This manga has taught me a lot about self improvement! The courage touch society again! And most importantly, to love...! In the I Want to Eat Your Pancreas manga the story builds to this crescendo. You aren't sure how everything will be resolved even though we know how this must tragically end. Certainly it is a realistic ending and true love doesn't suddenly change things. I can appreciate that! However, the lessons and conclusions are unexpectedly focused in a different direction that you would normally expect dealing with death and grief... And that is a beautiful thing.

For the sake of you guys not knowing the boy's name I'm going to call him the same way the manga called him. He likes to read novels and prefers to stay alone than having friends as he sees no reason in having any. He is surprised by Sakura's behaviour as it is completely different from what you would expect from someone who suffers from a disease slowly killing her. He increasingly cares for her and becomes more and more attached to her as the story develops. An interesting character as well, as he is the one who learns most in this story. Strange habits aside, this manga was a terrible decision on my part. It left me a blubbering mess, and, having just watched the anime adaption (and crying over that as well!), it will definitely be taking up the free real-estate where common sense should live in my head on my mind for a while. I started reading this manga without reading the synopsis first knowing that it is well known for a reason, not knowing what to expect. A few chapters later then I remembered seeing people talking about how the anime makes them cry. Of course I didn't expect myself to even be giving in to that. She approached him. No. He accidentally came to know about her secret only she and her family knew. For context, I think it needs to be mentioned that I don't cry over books that often. As a result, some weird part of me seeks out all the 'tear-jerker' media I can get my hands on to see if it 'works' on me. (Typing this out makes me seem like even more of a weirdo than I already am/have accepted I am. If you're concerned, don't worry, because I'm concerned too.) Let Me Eat Your Pancreas Part 2]. But that's something obvious, since novels almost always show more than mangas. Well, you see, right when the writing has been going from the “alright” to the “meh” territory and I was contemplating whether to rate this 5 or 6, the finale came around. Ironically, I’d say it was thanks to the novel being so self-aware about how everyone saw the conclusion of terminal illness coming. Thanks to confessing right from the start what is going to happen the story was able to go a bit further than being just a generic final moments of a patient melodrama. A finale that was surprisingly nicely executed with well done emotional pay-off. Now, as much as I would love to write in greater detail about it, I would also like to not rob you of the opportunity to experience it first-hand, so you’ll have to be satisfied with me not spelling everything out. What’s important is that I was suddenly contemplating not between 5 or 6, but between 6 or 7. And I’m possibly getting soft as “good” it is. There, I didn’t completely trash a mostly sentimental piece of fiction, save your booing for later.I at first thinking about giving this 8.5 / 8.8 because I'm bad at rating, but I changed my mind into giving it a 9 it's a pretty cute story with some bittersweet philosophical themes. sakura believes that they "chose to meet" and everything that happens is based on their decisions. a b c d Ressler, Karen (March 15, 2018).
