About this deal

Therefore the coils are easier to install and Horizon say the chamber should seal when you remove the coil to prevent any liquid in the tank from coming out! (This is mentioned in the marketing goo but didn’t appear to be correct in real life!) It must be a combination of a very efficient vaporising process using up more e-liquid plus the fact I bloody love vaping with this tank! Perhaps look into a good pod kit where you can use the 50/50 liquids with the higher resistance coil and the higher VG with the lower resistance coil. My current favourite is the Innokin Sceptre, or you could try the Aegis Boost kit with the one kit you can try both styles and different e-liquid types to see if DTL is for you. Let’s see how long this coil lasts. If it is only a few refills again then I would say it definitely is the coils which have the issue. If the coil life is way better now then the e-liquid caused the premature failure of coil number 1.

So with this in mind I filled up the Falcon 2 and left it on an atty stand for a few days. Oh yes, learned my lesson the hard way when it comes to leaky tanks killing my mods! After installing the coil, your HorizonTech Falcon 2 tank is fully assembled. Then you should fill the tank and choose a suitable mod. The wattage output of the mod should from 70W to 75W due to the low coil resistance of 0.14ohm. A single 18650 battery mode can offer that power output but will consume the battery life and stress the battery. So I recommend you to use a single 21700 mod or dual 18650 mod. The base diameter of the Falcon 2 tank is only 25mm. So it will not be compatible with the mods which have restrictions on tank sizes. When I changed the coil I was pleased to see not a drop of e-liquid in the base cap of the tank – which is a huge surprise! Coil Number 2 Mine came with the 5.5ml bubble glass installed and this looks great – not too wide and tall enough not to look silly if you get me! As you can imagine there was a massive amount of expectancy with the Falcon 2, after all, much like your favourite band releasing a new album you expect only the very best. Having a hands on with the Falcon 2, I can safely say that they haven’t improved as such, just changed what the best could potentially be….. The capacity of the Falcon II varies depending on the glass tube you’re using. For the EU version (like mine), the straight-sided 2 ml option is the only one that’s legally permitted. However, on other versions of the tank you get the bigger (and better) 5.2 ml capacity tube, which bulges out in the middle to increase the size while still fitting in the same slot. There isn’t much to add here, just that there are different tank sizes and if possible, you should try to get the 5.2 ml version. Wide Bore Drip Tip

Refilling is a simple job thanks to the sliding top cap, which reveals a large juice port that fits most e-liquid bottles. Changing coils is also easy because of the ‘push-fit’ design of each coil. These handy features make the Falcon 2 tank a good introduction to sub ohm vaping. I loved the Original Falcon for flavour but the leaks really made me go off it which I found a shame. Warning: Please make sure you have a great understanding and technical knowledge on how to use mods and batteries that can handle Sub-Ohm coils. Do not use short or flat 510 connection on any hybrid or hybrid style device. If you are not familiar or unsure of particular products or set-ups, please do not use it. Always use proper precautions and handling. At this point push the top cap across to reveal the fill port – it does have quite a bit of resistance so you might have to push harder than you expected. Oh and it is 25mm diameter at the base so mods which have restrictions on tank sizes such as the Eleaf Pico wouldn’t be suitable. How To Fill The Horizon Falcon 2 Tank

HorizonTech Falcon 2 Sector Mesh Coils

Add e-liquid through the fill port. If it is hard to get the nozzle to reach you can remove the drip tip to help. Any coil that registers below 1.0 Ohm is known as a sub ohm coil. Recommended for advanced vapers only, they'll require more power to use properly, which will be provided by an advanced vape kit. This is generally easy to turn – but can be a bit stiff sometimes – whilst turning this you can unscrew your tank from the mod!

So far with the second coil I have refilled this 8 times. That equates to roughly 40ml of e-liquid (5ml per fill – I didn’t allow the tank to empty fully as there is a minimum mark). So it would appear the first coil failing was due to the e-liquid. Can be very thirsty on e-liquid – combination of vaporising it fully and the fact it is so lovely to vape on!Well the slide on this has a lot of resistance. There is a marking on the cap of a small arrow and you do need some effort to push this across thankfully.

The tank itself differs from its predecessor through the new coil system that has been implemented. Instead of a screw in base as before, the tank features push in coils making the change of coils much easier than ever before. The coils are not compatible with the former tanks and visa versa with the old flacon coils. The design is changed with an inside cage to hold the coil in place once inserted which is a difference from before and the clean look inside. Colour Options Horizon seemed to hint at the fact you could pull the coil out without any leaking from the e-liquid chamber so I assumed some kind of seal such as on the Aspire Tigon Tank…Aside from the problems mentioned with the EU version of the tank, the Falcon II is a great sub ohm tank that manages to build on the success of its predecessors while still improving performance and usability. When working with Li-ion (Lithium-ion), LiPo (Lithium-ion Polymer) and any rechargeable cells, please be cautious and carefully use as they are very sensitive to charging characteristics and may explode or burn if mishandled. Please make sure that you have great knowledge on all rechargeable batteries before you use them. Always charge batteries at the clean and fire-proof surface. Never leave charging batteries unattended. If you see that there are visible damages on the batteries, please do not use. Always keep, store and transport the rechargeable cells in a safe, non-conductive container in controlled environment. Large vapour production and delivering better flavour from e-liquids is a key part of this tank’s design. The Horizontech Sector 0.14 Ohm vape coils utilise a mesh coil build in a fan-woven design, which increases airflow and heats more e-liquid at a faster rate – for increased flavour. Use the adjustable airflow at the bottom of the tank, to further restrict or increase vapour flow, to suit your vaping style. A big change for this generation is the coils. They are not compatible with older Falcon coils as this has a push in pull out coil system.
