I guess a thumb’s in the middle here as the game IS fun, but there really is a lot more than could have been done with it. As well, with six playable character types, each of which having their own unique variation of the “freaky flaw” episode, a person can play Monster High: Ghoul Spirit more than once and see something different. If you’re playing the game and you’re looking to expand the game’s soundtrack type in 1328 to get a remix of “Fright Song. This freaky-fab competitor is a rock-solid player who never just wants to watch the game from above.

That meant indie publisher Little Orbit has a lot of pressure on them as this is a big Mattel license, but they obviously don’t have the advertising budget THQ did before it imploded. As well, the first time you do a maze, you won’t know the best path to go, so some of beating the game handily comes from rote memorization of the course in question.Monster High: Ghoul Spirit is a 2011 party video game developed by ImaginEngine and published by THQ in October 2011. I will say this though – I’m an experienced gamer and know my Wii controls inside and out, so it was very easy for me to play this game. The game doesn't even allow the player to interact with Abbey and Spectra and still their relation gauges will fill up. It might still be fun to pick up once in a while for a few minutes, but the game doesn’t have much replay value. The problem is the game doesn’t tell you this and I ended up spending a few minutes wondering why I couldn’t get the next leg of an episode to finish or if there was a massive bug in the game.

After beating the game as positive and perky as one can be, along with maxing out relationships with Draculaura, Cleo, Ghoulia and having a near maximum with Frankie, Clawdeen and Lagoona, Cleo still became Scream Queen. The characters were interesting and cute, there was always something new to do and I was surprised that it only took me four hours as it felt like ten hours or so of content.One of the chambers in the game is the Vampitheater, which appears to be just another name for the Auditorium. Once or twice my girlfriend had the bat disappear on her and after fiddling with the game, I discovered it was because somehow her active quest was turned off so there was no place for the bat to guide her. There's no option to drift in Skultimate Roller Maze, so for a Strong racer to round a corner, they need to either slow down by occasionally letting the forward button go and proceed cautiously or hit the brake and at the same time turn into a new direction. Overall, the game is solid enough than an experienced gamer will have no problem with it, but those not used to a “sand box” style game might be confused as to game progression, especially single digit aged gamers. The mini games were all pretty easy to do in the time frame given, but there were one or two when I was cutting it close.

Without co-perative or competitive gameplay, there’s not much you can do with the DS version of Skultimate Roller Maze You can unlock everything in about an hour and a half if you’re good at the game and then it’s really just trying to beat your time.Overall, the aural aspects are somewhat better than the visuals, but a higher budget and more time could have really made this thing memorable for the core Monster High fan. So you can have one of each of the three skater types if you want and switch depending on the situation.

Each character has a single line of dialogue you’ll here whenever they do something good, like get a turbo boost or activate their power. They are more valuable during the second half of a circuit because most (easy to get) coins are already gathered by then. Now the episodes do have to be completed in a linear progression, but the ability to flip between all the different episodes at will (hint – if there is a location that you need to go two for more than one episode, go there and do everything at once instead of backtracking) really makes this game feel like a little kid’s Morrowind or Grand Theft Auto. They are then held in the coffin for what feels like forever and will easily drop from first to fourth.

The talk Clawdeen and Heath have before the match when the player controls Clawdeen refers to the events of the Volume 1 webisode " Fur Will Fly". Monster High: Ghoul Spirit does a nice job with the MH license unlike countless other licensed games that flood the market ever year. In these situations, you’ll play the mini game six times to complete an episode in addition to them on rare occasions in other episodes. It would have been nice to have a multiplayer option for this single-player game so you could compete against friends in real time. Clawd's and Clawdeen's are speed boosts, Frankie's and Operetta's abilities are target-seeking long-range attacks, Draculaura's and Lagoona's abilities are lifts that allow them to both rest and knock over other players, and Robecca's ability leaves a trap in the form of a thick fog.
