I really loved the importance and development of mental health, internal thoughts, self criticism, and the emotional intelligence, that these characters showed. And hear me out: it’s Emily in Paris meets When in Rome (yes the Mary Kate and Ashley one) with a hint of Lizzie McGuire, and The Devil Wears Prada. There’s amazing banter, friendships that will remind you of your own, and a setting that will make you want to pack your bags and jet set! Violet is afraid she will ruin her professional life by following a guy like she did before, but is drawn to Matt. Violet Luciano, a passionate fashion student, is working as an intern at a popular fashion brand in Rome, Italy, and competing with two other classrooms for a job at a New York label.

ALL of the characters are fantastic, the romantic tension is *chefs kiss* and the setting makes you feel like you’re on summer vacation with them in Rome. In Rome as part of an internship and competing for a prestigious fashion job, Violet finds herself living in the same apartment as her new nemesis, since his mother is her professor. I laughed out loud so many times and I am sure I smiled creepily alone in my room for 90% of the book. Fashion, spectacular sightseeing in Italy, marvelous food, chilled Prosecco, explosive chemistry between characters - such a powerful romance blended with enemies-to-lovers and forced proximity, sunshine-meets-grump tropes, reminding us of the Italian version of "Emily in Paris" as "Violet in Rome": this is the recipe for the best romcom! So when she lands a summer internship at an up-and-coming fashion brand in Rome - with a chance to win a job at a NY fashion label - she heads to Italy, ready to give it her all!the book was fun to read and it had a cutr story, there some over the top scenes which made me laugh out loud ( Violette prank was hilarious) but there were scenes I felt unnecessary drama .
