About this deal

So If you're used to medicinal leather scents you'll appreciate this more than loathe it. It also might need an additional ingredient to soften & brighten it more, perhaps layer it with a light & airy floral, fruity or sweet gourmand scent to balance it out if its too overwhelming on it's own. I don't hate it but i don't love it neither. I knew what i was getting into before blind buying it bcos i did enough research about it. Yes it's challenging at 1st especially if you're not a big fan of leather scents...but it's definitely like for me. I'm sure i'll appreciate it more the more often i reach for it & spray it on. Recommended dose ideally for spring, autumn & winter months is 1 spray...it's beastly. 2 sprays might take it towards the edge of overpowering cloy if you wear it in public or at work. Stay tuned for further developments. We'll see how i feel about it after a few more wearings in different situations...will keep you updated.

Oud Mood By Lattafa Genuine Elixir Arabian Perfume 100ml New

I'm coming in here with no experience with Dior Sauvage Elixir but of course I have the EDT so I have nothing to compare it to except Dior Sauvage EDT.

A couple of years ago, my answer was a BIG NO to most middle-eastern fragrances... now my opinion has changed 180°! And with all my respect to designers and niche houses, I don't buy the "creativity, stealing, bla bla" thing anymore! Because it seems like everybody is "ok with it" when a niche house copies another niche house, or when a niche house copies a designer, or when a designer copies another designer or a niche house! The majority are ok with it and cool about it, but many people still look down on Middle Eastern fragrances! Why the hypocrisy? Let them copy what's already copied! It's something like reverse engineering. I like everything about this fragrance 🥰... it's spicy, sexy, manly, fresh, with a smooth rich dry down, very decent performance, and VERY cheap! It's a winner no doubt about it! ... I wonder what's going to happen after 2 or 3 years if the affordable, cheaper Middle-Eastern fragrances continue to improve and come closer to or even better than niche or designer fragrances in terms of quality and with a cheaper price tag. To my nose, the opening is fruity -- perhaps a kind of mild, candy pineapple smell (but not the kind of tart pineapple you have in an Aventus type cologne). As the sweetness dies down a bit, I find a bit of incense and spice comes in. After about 15 minutes, the aroma makes be think of Juicy Fruit gum with a bit of spice. At a point, it’s asif the sweetness is toned down, and you’re left with a matured, unapologetic dark patchouli and a low dose of Vetiver, mixed with a noticeable woody note. But then again, it becomes sweet. Asad, I get 9 to 10 hours, and I can still smell it on clothing at least the next day. though the smell is different from elixer.

Haven’t smelt Dior Sauvage Elixir… this to me smells like a more wearable toned down Spicebomb (EDT). Dark purple florals and dry pineapple in the dry-down but mainly smooth warm spices and a tiny amount of SWEET tobacco (not oudy). Nighttime. Age 18+. Slightly more ‘masculine’ leaning if that’s how you define your scents but easily Multisex. Good longevity and decent silage.I seriously don’t know how Lattafa supposedly cloned Sauvage Elixir with whole different and unrelated notes! Makes me think they lie a lot about their notes. There are several Lattafa fragrances which are 1) highly regarded; but 2) not much cared for by me. Khamrah comes to mind immediately. However, the difference between Khamrah and Asad is that I can see *why* Khamrah has the rep and following it does; it might not be my kind of scent profile*, but damn, does Lattafa do a great job with it. I've smelled more than enough fragrances to appreciate the good ones even when they don't mesh with my tastes. Asad, though? Sorry guys, I've tried and tried but I can't get with it. Perhaps my bottle got baked in transit, I don't know.

Leans more mature, a little more mature than elixer. Longevity and silage are still above average in my opinion. Elixer I get 12+ hours and can smell it in my clothing days later. Having tested all the Oud Moods simultaneously, Elixir has nothing in common with the other three, and at no point did I perceive any similarities. The perfume does not excel in projection, which stands at a moderate value. It is pleasant to the people around us and not offensive at all. Instead, the duration is excellent, and I can feel it after many hours. As far as the season is concerned, I am comfortable wearing it on late autumn days and evenings when the first chills of winter are upon us. After the initial dismay, I conclude that Elixir has turned out to be a beautiful fragrance that takes time to understand and then gives pleasant sensations. This is AMAZING. It's for when you want to wear Sauvage EDT but to somewhere where you'd have to dress a little bit better like a high end club or a fancy dinner party.Overall, Asad is dry and dusty, and resembles Aurelien Guichard and Nathalie Lorson's This is Him Zadig & Voltaire. sapeur1999 I think the majority here, on social media, and on YouTube all agreed that Dior Sauvage elixir is more refined, has unbelievable performance (though not necessarily needed) and Asad isn't completely an identical scent (could be better)... many seem to prefer Asad due to its balanced combination of decent quality, good performance, and affordable pricing... It's quite clear down in the comments! smells very expensive as per usual with dior (and by default asad being that its such a great clone)
