About this deal

Never apply Lipsore 5% w/w Cream to an area ofthe body called the mucous membranes, as thecream can cause irritation. These areas to avoidinclude the inside of the mouth and nose and theinside of the vagina. Rabbits had 1, 3 or 6% aciclovir cream in a white petrolatum vehicle introduced directly into both eyes 5 times daily at 90-minute intervals for 3 weeks. Neither autopsy nor inspection nor histological examination revealed any pathological changes in the rabbit eyes. Advise patients to apply the cream to the lesion as near as possible to the start of infection. Treat recurrent episodes during the prodromal period or when lesions first appear.

Pregnancy

Aciclovir is an antiviral cream used to treat herpes simplex. Herpes simplex virus or HSV for short is a highly contagious virus that once contracted, usually before the age of 10, lies inactive within the body. HSV can then become active from time to time, usually if you are run down. HSV is very common it is believed that 7 in 10 people carry the virus but for some people it might remain inactive. The reconstituted solution should be used within 12 hours. Refrigeration of reconstituted solution may result in the formation of a precipitate which will re-dissolve at room temperature. Superdrug Cold Sore Cream is for the topical treatment of cold sores of lips and face. Warning or Restrictions Lipsore 5% w/w Cream is used to treat cold sores of the lips and face caused by the herpes simplex virus.Aciclovir has been shown to speed up the healing ofcold sore blisters if it is used soon enough. 2. Before you use Lipsore 5% w/w Cream Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have an underlying medical condition, are taking any other medication or complementary therapy, or if symptoms persist

Tell your doctor or pharmacist before use ifyou are taking any regular medication on prescription or over the counter products. Aciclovir is an antiviral agent which is highly active in vitro against herpes simplex virus (HSV) types 1 and 2 toxicity to mammalian host cells is low.

How to take tablets and liquid

If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse. Vial containing 250 mg Lipsore 5% will be reconstituted with 50 ml infusion solution and vial containing 500 mg Lipsore 5% will be reconstituted with 100 ml infusion solution. Besides, Vial containing 1 gm Lipsore 5% will be reconstituted with 250 ml infusion solution. 10 ml of the infusion solution will be added to the vial containing 250 mg, 500 mg and 1 gm Lipsore 5%. Shake well and transfer the required amount of solution to the infusion container. The final concentration of Lipsore 5% will be not more than 5 mg/ml. Aciclovir is predominantly eliminated via the kidneys, primarily by glomerular filtration and to a lesser extent by tubular secretion.

If it gets in the eyes, wash it out with plenty of water. Ifyour eye gets sore tell your doctor or pharmacist. If you forget to use Lipsore 5% w/w Cream:If you are having an operation or dental treatment, tell the person carrying out the treatment which medicines you are using. Neonates, infants born prematurely, those with low birth weight, those with an unstable gastrointestinal function or who have serious illnesses may require special consideration. For any infant, if a drug is prescribed to the nursing mother, it should be at the lowest practical dose and for the shortest time. When drug administration is unavoidable and breastfeeding is to continue, minimisation of exposure of the infant to the drug may sometimes be achieved by timing the maternal doses to just after a feeding episode. Infants exposed to drugs via breast milk should be monitored for unusual signs or symptoms. Interactions between the drug received by the infant from the mother's milk and medication prescribed for the infant should also be considered, for example, when the drug given to the infant may prevent metabolism of the drug received via breast milk.
