i get that she's supposed to be this uber-feminist icon but she just came across as dumb and impulsive, in a horror movie she would be the first to die.The "spicey" scenes people rave on about sound more like a victim statement than anything to fantasise about. It took me time to warm up to the story. I love dark romances, but this one started in the worst way possible: with a rape. Just after the mention of a suicide, and, maybe, a suicide attempt–though Glyndon denies it. leviastrid were the worst characters in the royal elite series so it makes sense that the fmc is astrid’s spawn bc glyn’s character was so utterly boring and she has the personality of a blank piece of paper.. i don’t understand why killian was so fascinated and obsessed w her.. and naming her glyndon?? JAILLL 💀 (yes i still hold the biggest grudge towards astrid bc of how she treated my bby nicole) Sometimes, I want to stop hiding from everyone, myself included. Oftentimes, however, it gets too hard and it’s impossible to breathe properly. I have read the epilogue chapters in the nightingale anthology and it was mentioned that Killian was different. He was twisted and his way of thinking worried his parents. That was when he was a kid. Now he is a young man, all in his dark, broody glory, ready to destroy poor little Glyndon. Imagine that. The triggers in this book, like I was positively drooling. Not to mention the fact that he is compared with a young Aiden all the time lmao , that should alone give you a hint of how twisted he is.
