About this deal

If you like popping plastic bubble wrap, you’re guaranteed to find this somewhat satisfying. Actually, it doesn’t even come close. Still, give it a try. this is the sorry state that the gaming industry is striving towards from all the publishers outside of nintendo or the indi space. when that day comes, count me out. thankfully, i have more than enough retro games to keep me busy for the rest of my life, but it will be a sad day when sony pulls out of single player games entirely. Series 14 took breaks on: 3 August–4 September, 30 September–23 October, 17 November 2015–1 January and 27 January–26 February 2016.

Alexander Armstrong adds:“Daytime television’s loss is international best-selling crime fiction’s gain. I say that like it’s a consolation - I’m going to miss the big man next to me Monday to Friday. But at least I still get him at weekends - and weekdays if you’re watching on Challenge.” Six different formats for the questions have been used during the programme's run for the elimination rounds in each game:

I fully expect that Sony's output will mostly shift to GaaS games. We know that's where the money is. They know that's where the money is. And they've been too over-budget vs sales on their single player games for years now. Jim's purely about business, and what they've been doing for single player, beloved or not, does not generate the ROI they're looking for while GaaS will. And that appeals to more of the market in general. That doesn't mean they won't make any more single player games, but I don't think the volume or content depth in that department will rival what PS4 fans expect. Ever wanted to pet a dog online? The series' audience had peaked at 1.69 million viewers; 17.2% of audience share for the timeslot, [13] while averaging around 1 million viewers per episode. [8] Series 2 saw audiences grow modestly; the format was tweaked prior to the start of Series 3, reducing the number of rounds and giving more time for banter between the hosts which had previously been edited out. [8] The change saw strong viewer growth and the show was moved to the BBC's main channel BBC One in 2011. [8] [14] By 2013, the programme was recording four episodes in one day [15] and averaged 3.6 million viewers daily, gaining more viewers than ITV game show The Chase, which airs in roughly the same time slot. Richard, who has presented the show alongside Alexander Armstrong since 2009, will continue to host future series ofPointless Celebritiesas well as hit BBC Two show,Richard Osman’s House of Games(a Remarkable Entertainment production) for Daytime and Early Peak. Tamara Gilder, the creative director of Remarkable Entertainment, the production company that produces Pointless, said Osman had been a large part of Pointless and the success of the show. “We’ll be sad to not have him as part of the daytime series, but we are very glad that he’ll still be part of the Pointless family, presenting our celebrity specials, as well as continuing to host House of Games.” Insomniac are recruiting staff with multiplayer experience, whilst still developing Spiderman 2 and Wolverine.

Sally Lindsay, adds: “As everyone knows I LOVE a game show and being asked to sit in Richard Osman’s hallowed chair is beyond thrilling! Can’t wait to be Pointless.” Clues and Answers – Introduced in Series 3, contestants are given a list of clues related to the topic of the question, whereupon they must select a clue and provide the correct answer connected to it. An example of this format is that a list could contain the names of different battles and the questions requires a contestant to name the country in which it occurred (e.g., "the Battle of Hastings" – "England"). Although the round follows a similar style to that of the "Possible Answers" format, there is no guarantee that contestants may find a pointless answer from within the list. If a team answers incorrectly, that clue remains in play and can be chosen again. The number of clue/answer pairs is always three more than the number of teams playing a round, and a new board is used on each pass.As a PS fan, this really feels like the second time they've changed though. When they changed late PS3 into PS4 into the "moviegame" platform that was already one change I wasn't totally on board with. I like those games, but don't love them the way a lot of the classic PS games pull me in, though in hindsight many of those were "2nd party." So this jump into the mainstream service stuff feels like a continuation of what already started last gen. Whichever platform is the most popular tends to become the one that starts appealing to the mass market in ways gaming enthusiasts reject. Wii did it, 360 did it, and now PS5 is doing it.... It's been pretty consistent that the less popular platform tends to be the one that tries hardest to appeal to the core because they're less likely to be able to appeal to the mass market, so this is really the expected result of PS4's success, to me.
