I love this book series, I can relate to it being a teen myself… this book series is good for a twelve year old to a fifteen to sixteen year old, being told from the perspective of a teen girl which is good because we can see her thoughts and struggles through her words of her diary. As Nikki went through all sorts of funny problems, her younger sister, Brianna the cute and annoying, keep bothering her. With a HUGE global fanbase, Dork Diaries is the perfect series for fans of Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Tom Gates and Jacqueline Wilson.Although there might be a slight little accident, Nikki soon realizes it puts the contest in a bad spot. My 9 year old daughter loves reading and she wanted to read the series so I got her the set for Christmas. MacKenzie hacked into Nikki's account and his hurting other people, even her Nikki's best friends, feelings. Another thing, while Mackenzie is supposed to be a snarky typical mean girl, she doesn’t try to reason with her? They didn't know the diary was Nikkies because Makenzie put a different fabric on the diary to make it look like her’s.

Which, I think I what bothers me the most, the fact that she is so ungrateful for her parents, who only try to raise her well, and her sister who most of the time, just wants to cheer her up. At first Nikki didn't know who took it so she asked her two bestfriends Zoey and Chloe to help her find it. Everybody seems to be talented, and with Nikki as lead singer, she must carry the team through the contest.

However, I cannot stop reading them, which is why I gave them two stars instead of one, I’m addicted and I want to know what happens next, but that won’t stop me from complaining the whole time. Describes a book or dust jacket that does show some signs of wear on either the binding, dust jacket or pages. Putting aside that I’m sure this is mean for be REALISTIC fiction, but nothing really realistic happens, can we talk about how unlikable of a character Nikki is?

She also talks about her family in a disrespectful way like they are all crazy and she doesn't act her supposedly age which is 14. Not fight fire with fire, I know middle school girls don’t do that, but, these books aren’t aimed at middle schoolers, they’re aimed at elementary school kids who look up to the protagonist in almost any book. With her bratty sister Brianna adding more to the table, a party at the zoo, will she be able to be at two places at once?
