About this deal

This was Canon’s first fully automatic 35mm autofocus camera with a zoom lens. The 35-70mm f/3.5-6.7 zoom lens has 8 elements in 7 groups, and zooming is manual. The shutter is controlled by electronic program EE driven by a stepping motor. Besides the auto mode, the camera also has a slow-speed mode for night scenes and fireworks. My main problem with the 60 Zoom wasn’t the camera, it was the arrival of a Pentax Espio AF Zoom a few days later in a Job lot. Although the 2 cameras have similar spec and the Espio dates from 3 year earlier it is a much more classy camera with just as good if not better. Canon Sure Shot 60 Zoom with Kodak BW400CN Why Buy

While the overall experience is pretty similar from model to model, there are some slight differences you should be aware of if you’re looking to buy a Cannon Sure Shot. A March 1995 model from Canon's Sure Shot series, the Sure Shot 60 Zoom (Europe: Prima Zoom Shot, Japan: Autoboy Juno) is a compact camera with fully automatic 3-zone autofocus and a zoom lens. Some versions have date imprinting capability. The Japanese edition has a panorama mask.

Table of Contents

Electromagnetic programmed shutter and aperture. In auto mode and flash-on mode: EV 10 (f/4.5 at 1/40 sec.) – EV 17 (f/16 at 1/500 sec.) at 38mm, and EV 11.5 (f/6.7 at 1/60 sec.) – EV 17 (f/18 at 1/400 sec.) at 60mm. In flash-off mode: EV 3.4 (f/4.5 at 2 sec.) – EV 17 (f/16 at 1/500 sec.) at 38mm, and EV 4.7 (f/6.7 at 2 sec.) – EV 17 (f/18 at 1/400 sec.) at 60mm. With slow-speed sync at both 38mm and 60mm: EV 3.4 – EV 6 (f/4.5 at 1/40 sec.). My one word of advice is get ready for the flash to go off. You will not be subtle taking any photos with this camera, so prepare for people to stare you down and your freshly-blinded friends to complain every time you take a picture. Otherwise, I find it to be one of the best cameras in my ever-growing collection.

process film for the few cameras sold. Just like 110 film, the image size was smaller then 35mm and grainer. So there may be film The small LCD readout on the top of the camera conveniently stays on, even with the camera off, to let you know how many shots you’ve taken on your current film roll, as well as how much power is left in your battery. This is the last model on the list to feature a fixed-length lens, but the smallest max aperture of the bunch at f/4.5.
