About this deal

There are five Secondary Objective categories for a player to choose from, each with three to four options, and a player can only select one Secondary Objective from each category. In addition, each mission provides an additional Secondary Objective category separate from the others that will give players an additional option or two, depending on the mission. Also included in this box set are the rules and datasheets for fielding these units (though you'll need the full Codex: Space Marines book to really get them on the battlefield), transfer sheets, and a bit of lore behind the specific Strike Force Agastus (which, in the game's fiction, is a specific strike force of the Ultramarines). Let's take a closer look at each of these new models. Strike Force Agastus - Primaris Lieutenant The Primaris Lieutenant is a flexible lieutenant for your Space Marines army, now with more customizable options than ever.

Those who endure such exertions still find their minds drifting away from their former selves, though in the eyes of the Chapter it is a small price to pay for their martial might. They fight with a pair of terrifying talons, which can rip tanks and infantry asunder. This force of 17 miniatures hits the battlefield with a relentless rain of punishing heavy fire. Accompanied by five Heavy Intercessors, there are 12 totally new models in Strike Force Agastus – an incredibly versatile Primaris Lieutenant, the close-combat focused Brutalis Dreadnought, and 10 Desolation Marines who can reap a heavy toll of infantry or hard targets. We may not have a ton of experience with the missions yet, but you better believe we have theoriesabout how we’re going to try and win them. Finally (because we just want to focus on new models here, sorry Heavy Intercessor Squad!) let's take a look at the Desolation Squad included with Strike Force Agastus. If you love Space Marines but wish their guns were comically huge and did even more damage, this is the unit for you. Look at the size of this gun in context to the model itself! Absurd! These are probably the most controversial models you’ll find in Strike Force Agastus. If you know the Intercessor or Hellblasters kit you know what to expect here. This kit has two identical copies of two medium size sprues that build five models each, and ten 32mm bases. Each set of sprues features:

Before the battle, after objectives are set up, players each choose three Secondary Objectives, writing them down in secret and revealing them to their opponent simultaneously. Each Secondary Objective has different criteria for scoring, and each one can be worth a maximum of 15 VP for the battle – though some may be worth far less. The Primaris Lieutenant included in Strike Force Agastus is all about customization. His straight-up datasheet equips him with a bolt pistol, a master-crafted bolt rifle, frag grenades, and krak grenades, but you can get way more creative than that with the sprues included. You can swap out his master-crafted bolt rifle for a master-crafted auto bolt rifle, a master-crafted stalker bolt rifle, a plasma pistol, a master-crafted power sword, or a power fist. You can also equip him with a neo-volkite pistol and a storm shield (which gives him a 4+ invulnerable save, and adds 1 to armor saving throws made by the bearer).Ben: The game was more swingy than an Ork’s big choppa. It went both ways, with some really big moments. We both had moments where we thought the game was over, only for it to totally shift with the next dice roll. If you’re looking for extra close-range punch, you can swap that bolt rifle for a heavy bolt pistol. Need something even hotter? The Dark Angels no longer have a monopoly on plasma – this new kit allows all Lieutenants to trade their bolt rifle for a shiny plasma pistol. If you prefer blowing your enemy apart at range, the Desolation squad has you covered, finally adding a “true” Devastator-style option to Primaris Marines. That’s extra clear because the sergeant shares the Devastator’s Signum, letting them buff a model to BS2+ each time the unit shoots. The Tyranids aren’t terribly bothered by the exact state of galactic geopolitics at present – they just like a ready supply of tasty biomass, and a space hulk to ride around in. Their Boarding Patrol contains six adaptable Tyranid Warriors to split into squads of three, eight fast-moving Genestealers, and a fearsome Broodlord to direct them all.
