But, they lack emotion, there is no emotional connection with them, no bond, they are just characters in a book.This is the second recent Mandasue Heller book I have read where the central character is a teenager and though didn't dislike the book I didn't enjoy it as much as the first few books I read, I prefer adult main characters.
