It does smell much better than those, but this can vary since we all have different noses and taste. I kept it around for a long time and eventually got rid of it, as it deteriorated over time: definitely a use it or lose it fragrance. It smells like a hodge-podge of synthetic notes which I suppose *could* be an apple, or mint or lavender if one exercised a suspension of disbelief. I was 18 when i wore the OG and i love this even more now at 42 and i like scents pushed for all ages. Right after I applied it I was still in my bathroom finishing getting ready and my best friend said "Wow! I keep trying fresh and green scents like this one when they're well reviewed but I just never love them. The fresh-spicy qualities, to me, aren't done very well, just too cheap/synthetic smelling and insanely generic and sloppy, like a shower gel or body spray quality.It’s very herbal, I don’t get much of the fruitiness so if you’re expecting to smell like sweet apple, consider a different fragrance.

This is a good scent for spring and more so summer, and for those who want to carry something fresh and different to the office or any other place where you want to arrive fresh and clean. I've worn this many times since I bought my first full bottle (my 7 yr old daughter seems to like it), but I can't quite seem to put my finger on whether or not I love this fragrance.It's very masculine without having that old man Vibe about it you can wear it on any occasion anytime of the year and it just smells absolutely fantastic. If you have either one, don't bother getting the other one because they are very close scent profiles. Most people are not like us here at fragrantica with 30+(++) bottles of fragrances, multiple for every occasion and mood :) And I would rather smell this on someone than some AXE deo or something like that. On the dry down it's only a faintly woody note but you have to press your nose against your skin to even detect anything. Sometimes I thoroughly enjoy smelling it on my wrist, other times I want to wash it off and put something else on.

One of my favorite dumb reach frags when I’m just leaving the house for a little while or going outdoors with nobody to impress. This begins with a citrus scent of bergamot and grapefruit sweetened with lavender and spiked with mint. I love reminiscing about when I used to wear Hugo Boss, it felt like such a different world back then. This is pretty much the perfume i have been wearing for the longest time and i really didn't care if i get compliments or not, Although this gave me one of the most important compliments of my life.

They are maybe smelling the pine come through more in their batch which i could understand being a little off putting at first but in mine it's definitely more of a lightly spiced, sweet apple scent that the pine and fir perfectly compliments which i love. It's much better than Hugo just different which has a very harse opening and is suppose to be the modern version of this. This energising fragrance combines crisp green apple, vibrant aromatic notes and the smoky scent of fir balsam. This has been repackaged to separate it from Hugo Man (2021; the one with the oversized text on the bottle).

I don't think Hugo Extreme is much different than the others in the line in this regard, so I won't be getting any more of them, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy the fragrance. Fragrance of my youth :) this was the first "real" perfume I used, and I used it for many years in my late teens.

Back when I got it I thought it was fine, and the people who smelt it around me thought it was good. It was common at some point in time, even in the hick-country of Wisconsin, because when I bought this I thought "I've smelled this before". and if youre going out later that night, then 1 spray on bare chest and sweat it out while clubbing.
