About this deal

John 'This is a great bedtime story book. I read one or two of these short story's to my 4 year son every night and he follows and enjoys them very much. I wouldn't say they are stories just for boys though. Girls would enjoy them just as much I'd better. Any way great value.' Nanna 'A Christmas present for my great grandson, his parents were very happy with it and are going to read him a story every day if they can' Mary Batchelor's book includes all of the most loved Bible stories, plus some that you may not have come across before. "Children's Bible in 365 Stories" also contains special features such as poetry, prophets, New Testament letters and more! There are also delightful illustrations throughout the book that will help children to engage with the stories. Bold, tender, full of old truths and distilled modern wit, 365: Stories and Music is an epic built on the beauty of the miniature. It’s a collaboration between artists steeped in tradition but constantly breaking new ground. Xyz 'Really disappointed with this. Product was a sale item, but condition was terrible - book cover was grubby, frayed and covered in marks. . It was a one-off, so not able to exchange. Shouldn't have been offered for sale. Item was refused on collection. Only gave it one star as couldn't offer a review with no stars.'

for Beginner-Intermediate with Audio, Exercises (Vocabulary, Yes/No Questions, Cloze, Crossword, Dictation, Other)Caveh Zahedi was in a closet in a Brooklyn Heights apartment on a recent Sunday, trying to figure out how to end the story he was telling. He had been talking about a college class he’d taken with the filmmaker Michael Roemer. When Roemer saw Zahedi’s class project, a film titled “Sex and Violence,” he said, “‘I think you need serious help; you really need to be in therapy,’” Zahedi recalled. He cried on the spot when he heard those words. In one story, told during this recording session, he reduced a college girlfriend to sobs after he argued with her mother, calling her “bourgeois.” This honesty is a hallmark of his work. During Season 2 of “The Show About the Show,” his marriage fell apart, and the show became a record of its dissolution. But “365 Stories” is more expansive. The challenge of telling daily stories has pushed him to mine every aspect of his life.

Some certainly are: In one, Zahedi recalls missing an appointment to visit James Joyce’s daughter, Lucia, in a mental hospital in England; he later learns that she hasn’t had a visitor in years. Abc 'The book was not in a poor condition as it had marks all over the cover and looked used. I had bought it as a gift but was unable to use it. He content of the book was okay.' After recording more than 320 stories, Zahedi said it’s getting harder to come up with new ones. Putting them out in the world has changed the way he tells them. “I’m more aware of people being upset with me than when I started,” he said. “So maybe that makes me more self-censoring, more cautious, more gentle. I also think I’ve been avoiding some of these stories because they’re darker.” Particular highlights - a very spooky remake of an old ballad called the Demon Lover, the style of which echoes Sussana Clarke fairy tale style. Insignificance and Sorrow and Love are two wonderful pieces of contemplation on the meaning of life and death. Imagination is a beautiful ode to the power of the mind about a old soldier reliving his traumas. The Man on the Bus is a simple literary encounter about the vanity of a writer and his invisibility. Robertson’s stories and O’Rourke’s music now form a touring installation designed by inventor Yann Seznec in collaboration with design team Old School Fabrications. The installation is a piece of art in itself, beautifully crafted from wood and brass with no digital screens in sight encasing the spoken-word recordings of all 365 stories: Robertson reads many himself, and other storytellers provide rich and varied accents from artists, actors and young people around Scotland including; Gerda Stevenson, Cathy Macdonald, Matthew Zajac and Kate Molleson.Tinx 'The book is amazing full of amazing rhymes and stories my son's love it would definitely reccommend it for other mums with boys' RaisingBoys 'Bought this as the till point as it was an absolute bargain. Some lovely stories, it makes bedtime reading a joy'
