I could only get my hands on the ATP Sports Fan designed for the Original Peloton Bike, so I did my best to test it with my Bike+. What surprised me the most is that this fan is just as powerful as the Selina and SkyGenius despite being much smaller. With a customer score of 73%, Octopus Energy is in first place again this year according to its customers. It came top out of the 16 energy companies rated in the latest annual Which? customer survey of 10,197 members of the public. Unlike the previous fan, the Lasko Tower is not nearly as powerful but still does a good job. Just as importantly, it is a lot quieter than the Lasko High Velocity fan, although still a bit louder than most bike fan attachments.

The new ‘Fan Club’ tariff will be available to people living in the HX2 postcode area in Halifax and it’s possible to sign up here from today. This comes as onshore wind energy costs have more than halved over the last decade***. Onshore wind energy is now the fastest and cheapest way to wean the UK off gas and increase the country’s energy independence. For landowners considering registering, please keep in mind that there may be a minimum amount of land needed for the development of a turbine (typically approximately 10 acres), no restrictions can be in place preventing the land’s use for electricity generation and the land must be at least 500m away from the nearest residential area.
