The AirPods Pro 2 are the the ultimate earbuds for iPhone users. We have been blown away by the 2nd generation model since Apple launched them in September 2022. They bring significant upgrades to the popular original AirPods Pro to take performance to the next level. You think aptX is the pinnacle of wireless sound quality: Sony doesn’t agree. LDAC is a good alternative and is supported by most newer Android phones (sorry, iPhone). While out walking, listening to music, podcasts, or audiobooks may be a terrific way to inspire or educate yourself as long as you stay alert and stay safe. For example, if you like fairly quiet music and want to listen on the bus or train, you'll need effective noise cancellation.

The Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro are refreshingly smaller and lighter than most rivals – and an improvement over previous Galaxy buds. Generally, the size of a pair of headphone drivers (the tiny speaker inside each earpiece) primarily affects its power across the frequency spectrum. At its simplest form, the larger the driver, the more capable it is at performing at a high level on the low end of the sound spectrum. Earbuds across the board have much smaller drivers (usually around a quarter-inch) than over-ear headphones, and as a result, they will tend to perform better in the high/mid-range of the spectrum. There's less protrusion than with Sony's more affordable buds ( Sony WF-C500, all eyes on you), because they're 37% lighter and 38% smaller than the top-tier WF-1000XM4 . It should come as no surprise then that we found these to be some of the most easy to wear, comfortable earbuds we've ever had the pleasure of wearing and they stay put for hours on end. Despite those minor grumbles, the QC Earbuds II are a superb pair of wireless earbuds, and class-leading when it comes to their ability to reduce the impact of external distractions.

In any case, when we had music playing, we couldn’t hear much of our surroundings. Active noise cancellation: We’re seeing more and more wireless earbuds incorporating active noise cancellation technology to reduce the impact of external sound on your audio. If you want the most immersive listening experience, ANC should be high on your priority list.

You will often see earbuds with IPX4 or IPX5 (the 4 and 5 denoting mid-to-moderate splashes and drip resistance but minimal resistance to complete immersion into water). Regarding water resistance, the higher the number, the better. An IPX4 device is resistant to splashes from any direction, while IPX5 can resist low-pressure water (being run under a sink, for instance). IPX6 can handle higher-pressure water sprays, while IPX7 means the earbuds can survive complete immersion in 1 meter of water for 30 minutes. This spectrum section is usually the weakest part of consumer earbuds and can get fairly muddy if not treated well. The Grados lets you hear all of your music." Also, the earbuds have good battery life, lasting between four and five hours on a charge, with an extra 30 hours in the case. Design changes are subtle between the Pro and Pro 2 models. You’ll find a typical Apple-esque look here, with slightly protruding stems, clean lines and a bright white finish. During our testing, we were happy to find there are now extra small ear tips, great news for those with smaller ears and should fit most people well. Make sure to make a partial circle every time you approach a corner to make sure no one is following you. Don’t freak out if you do run into someone there; just remember if you’ve seen them previously. Are they intentionally following you, or is it just a coincidence or the right moment? If you feel the need to cross the street, go faster or slower to make room for them to pass. Don’t be afraid to ask for assistance if you notice they are acting in the same way and you are concerned. With ANC on you’re looking at roughly four and a half hours of in-ear battery life, which is below average, but despite this, the FreeBuds Pro 2 remain a great-sounding choice with plenty of well-implemented features.The price of the Technics EAH-AZ80 is that of a premium product, for sure – but happily, so is the specification. There are some disappointments here, but overall these are a pair of buds that deliver excellent sound quality and a fantastic fit. There are some surprising features included here too, like on-earbud controls and built-in mics that we think are decent enough for making phone and video calls. Avoid being distracted if you are wearing headphones and listening to something. In addition to needing to appear assured to deter people, you may not know how safe this region is. If you’re lost, it’s challenging to do that. If you do find yourself in this position, remove your headphones and figure out how to return to a familiar environment as soon as possible.
