Over in the Meadow" is a popular children's counting song or rhyme, originating probably in the 16th century United Kingdom. However, it may instead have been written by Olive A. Wadsworth in 1870. Ogni canzone è interpretata un po' più creativamente e la collana è molto focalizzata sul rappresentare le diverse culture, i diversi tipi umani, ha un taglio illustrativo personale e una parte di libro educativo.

Il panorama delle nursery rhymes non è dei più esaltanti. I libri sono un po' tutti uguali, le voci molto artefatte, come se il solo fatto di cantare per dei bambini dovesse indurre a fare sempre la stessa cosa e anche un po' finta.Non lo trovo perfetto a livello di stampa e illustrazione, ma è un gusto mio. È sicuramente un prodotto creativo, interessante e diverso dagli altri. Lo consiglio.

I bought this because we have other music singalong books with the voice of Susan Reed and I think her voice is very pleasant for both child and adult. I find it hard to come across music of a nursery ryhme style that isn't too grating, or over the top. La poesia è "Over in the meadow", scritta negli Stati Uniti nel 1800 da Katherine Floyd Dana. L'autrice dovette firmare sotto nome d'arte (Olive A. Wadsworth) perché all'epoca si riteneva che fosse vergognoso/inappropriato per una donna scrivere e venire pubblicata.
