New Career: New player manager career mode lets you create your own player and experience a full 15-year career, with new team management options and a friends leaderboard. FIFA 06 is presented well on the DS and feels fluid with great controls and use of the touch screen in game to assign the whole team to defend or attack. Crowd noises and chants within this game are maybe a little too limited but this is one aspect of the game that should be limited to allow extra qualities to be added elsewhere. Your attacking will be improved by smarter player runs and improved passing physics, giving you more options.It may be that there are more options in the consoles and PC versions of this game, but the selection provided is more than adequate and includes the more common teams that are supported in the various countries. The new button-based shooting mechanic puts control back in the users hands and with new shot types and animations you ll find all-new ways to score each game. Expect to play crisp, creative passes with Kaka or leave defences dumbfounded with Andres Iniesta under your control. Again on the face of it, this seems like a fairly good option, each player is allowed to have 350 points to be used to alter their skills from shooting to keeping the ball.

The FIFA games are already renowned for their depth and accuracy but the new Pro Passing controls bring the onscreen action even closer to the real thing.Players will be distinguished from one another through a sophisticated database that evaluates and grades each player's skill-set over 36 attributes and 57 traits, compiled by 1700 scouts around the world. Expect to receive scouting reports before each match and coaching tips at half time pointing out the strengths and weaknesses of your opposition. this mode should be the award winning section of the DS version of FIFA 06 but unfortunately it just doesn’t seem to make any sense. It starts off with a small league scenario then goes through to knock out stages, great for the international teams. FIFA 06 for the DS is clearly designed for the DS and isn’t a poor port of any other previous FIFA games.
