around the frame, but fine skin and clothing details are immediately striking for the rather sizeable boost in overall complexity. Fans will love the Shadows: The Making of Nope (HD, 56 Mins.) - An utterly fascinating and wonderful look at the making of the movie that is almost an hour long. Jordan Peele and the entire cast and crew talk about the different elements of the film from the inspiration, the animal, the chimp scenes, makeup, visual effects, horror, casting, and working together. The on-location shooting and the horses are also talked about here. This is a must-watch. It is also slower paced and somewhat abstract in comparison, so in trying for a more cerebral horror, he may have strayed a wee bit too far from what audiences have come to expect.

Stylistically speaking, Nope won’t dazzle with its use of eye scorching dynamism or vivid color. There is no question that its Ultra HD presentation appears faithful and makes for a distinct improvement when compared to the 1080p Blu-ray rendering. Universal delivers Nope to the UHD format with a very impressive and wholly satisfying 2160p/HDR presentation. The image offers a basic, but of visual stability yet great wonder, of narrative excitement but character-driven storytelling. That puts Peele in place afloat after their father's (Keith David) death, but financial strains are pressuring the sale to nearby showman and ex-TV child star Jupe ParkWe thoroughly enjoyed writer and director Jordan Peele’s fresh, novel, horror mystery film, ‘Get Out’(2017), which stars the superb British actor Daniel Kaluuya. Peele justifiably won the OSCAR for Best Original Screenplay, and the film received 3 other nominations. So we were delighted to discover that the pair had made another foray into horror, this time in the Sci-Fi field. How appropriate: Peele is the effective host and narrator of the revived CBS anthology ‘The Twilight Zone’, which also hovers on the cusp of horror and Sci-Fi. Described as an “expansive horror epic,” Nope is led by Oscar-winner Daniel Kaluuya, who reunited with Peele following the successful release of 2017’s Get Out. Joining him are Keke Palmer ( Hustlers) and Oscar nominee Steven Yeun ( Minari) as they portray residents in a lonely gulch of inland California who bear witness to an uncanny and chilling discovery. particularly great as OJ, a character who offers an incredibly expressive performance that is naturally grounded yet internally chaotic, expressed in Strange things are afoot at the Haywood Ranch. Nope Review

The color palette is gorgeous, stretching out over the open wild west of Southern California with brown and grey dirt, those beautiful purple mountains, a blue sky, green shrubs and bushes, and of course, a dark and ominous shape hovers overhead. The sequences of the television show with the chimp have heightened colors that resemble a child's birthday, representing bold yellows, reds, and hints of blue. These are striking with an emphasis on the red blood that covers the area. The wind people blowing along the estate are most impressive as well, giving way to the colors of the rainbow. Universal brings Nope to Blu-ray with an all-around excellent 1080p transfer. The picture is clear and well detailed. Viewers will be able to soak Nope comes to Blu-ray Disc from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment featuring 1080p AVC encoded video and lossless Dolby Atmos/TrueHD 7.1 channel sound. As I alluded to earlier Nope isn’t an especially colorful film however, its chromatic hues, sepia tones and variants of blue/red/green benefited from UHD's wider color gamut, appearing warmer and pleasing to the eye. There is intermittent use of visual elements that utilize high dynamic range. I wasn't especially bowled over with its application although some of that may be owed to the nature of the photography. There were instances where bright elements looked appreciably vibrant but, none really stood out. boasting first-class textural elegance that pushes Blu-ray to the max. Pores, hairs, and other characteristics are presented as well as possible at 1080p.
