About this deal
This one looked almost exactly the same as the chocolate dough (from the outside.) It had the chocolate chunks on top and a milk chocolate coating. However, If you don’t have any other options and still like to try it with proper diet management and calorie counting. You can have it once a day.
A decent tasty protein bar. It has the texture of a fudgy protein bar, but it’s less sugary. It almost tastes like a sweet-salty protein bar. The white sprinkles all over the protein bar play the role of a crunchy factor. Ofc, cashew/caramel bar isn’t HORRIBLE… trust me… I know horrible protein bars, but barebell was just such a let down. It definitely was very meh, and I was left with wanting more flavor. After some chewing, the bar does become a little tasteless, once the hit of salty peanut has passed. After a brief, albeit blissful, moment, the bar becomes regular old chocolate protein bar, until you move in for the next mouthful. Generally, You get 20 grams of protein at 300-350 calories, and 20 grams of protein at just 200 kcal is fantastic for a protein bar. So as per the calories, barbells protein bars are a big yes.I don’t know what’s happened with the coating on this and the coconut-choco flavours, but Barebells have certainly become really stingy. The coating here was thin, and even the cashew pieces were basically shivering they were so exposed. Otherwise the centre is soft once again, and the caramel layer adds a nice moisture, even if it is hard to detect. It’s attractive, I’ll give it that. Call me easy, but the coconut sprinkles add an element of luxe which I quite like. There’s also a pleasant coconut scent which is extra inviting. On top of their slightly spennier price point, there are so many different varieties of protein bar out there. It can be hard to know which one to choose – especially if you have dietary requirements (such as being vegan), have allergies or suffer from IBS. What sets Barebells apart is their candy bar-like texture. If you’re used to dense & chewy protein bars, Barebells will completely change the way you view protein bars. This protein bar is good enough that even if every other flavor of Barebells protein bars was extremely average, I would still consider them the best protein bar on the market.

Hazelnut nougat’s center is filled with soft nougat cream and a milk chocolate coating. The smooth texture of the core is balanced with the Cripsy outer chocolate layer. But that is exactly what we have with Barebells protein bars. They are, hands down, my favorite protein bar on the market right now. The centre is very soft, almost fudge-y and with barely any chew. The chocolate coating is sweet and creamy, albeit a little thin. The crispies on the top and throughout the centre are plentiful and add a wonderful crunch. Texture-wise it’s pretty spot on. Hazelnut Nougat protein bars have more carbs; fats compare to other Barebells protein bars. Also, the protein quantity is less. The mint hits you first – nice and fresh. There’s a minty cream under the coating which makes for a nice moisture which saves the bar from being too ‘tough’. The core is the chewier ‘old-style’, not as soft as some of the more recent ‘nougat-y’ textured centres which is a shame.
