The smell was similar to that of most other permanent dyes I've used, although most similar to hydrogen peroxide. It didn't particularly bother me, but it was rather strong, and if it's your first experience with dye, it wouldn't be particularly encouraging a smell, as it did make me feel a tad dizzy after a while. We advise, and it is stated on the product instructions, everyone should perform a strand test before dyeing their hair, even if they have used the product before, as that ensures they will achieve the right result. Developer: Aqua, Hydrogen Peroxide, Cetearyl Alcohol, PEG-40 Castor Oil, Disodium Pyrophosphate, Sodium Cetearyl Sulfate, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Benzoate, Phosphoric Acid; I still occasionally have people tell me they can see a blue tint to my hair, however I can't notice it myself, it doesn't show in pictures either so it must be when my hair is under extreme light (i.e outdoors or under lightbulbs or fixtures)
Unscrew nozzle of Developer Lotion, pierce the Live Colour Cream tube and carefully squeeze the entire contents into the Developer Lotion bottle. For reasons of hygiene and safety, personal grooming products, cosmetics or items of intimate clothing cannot be returned. The first time I used 2 boxes and despite saturating my entire head, was super patchy, the lightest areas didnt take and left giant gaps in my hair. It looked awful and was a muddy red colour. My hair had been lightened quite a few levels from brown. The conditioner was lovely. I used it all at once, as well as my regular coconut oil one, alternating coconut, provided, coconut, provided, coconut, coconut. This is just my obsession with deep conditioning after dying it with a perma dye, but it left my hair wonderfully silky. Always perform an Allergy Alert Test 48 hours before each time you colour, even if you’ve used the product before.
