I suppose it can be a bit nostalgic because the songs sound like they did when I first heard them through the tinny speakers in my parent's 1964 Chrysler Newport station wagon. Due to inventory and accounting purposes, we do not exchange items received for different items than originally purchased.

Surface noise throughout the two records, and several hissings and pops here and there, unacceptable for a brand new record. Remastered for the "modern" tastes : compressed (but far less than the cd, thanks God), thin and bright. The labels and pressing plants NEED to be made responsible for fixing the never ending vinyl pressing cockups, not retailers.No midrange punch, or true instrument separation, it’s actually fairly one dimensional and clearly compressed, however there is a decent soundstage.

Content sounds, like it was probably mastered from digital files, which would be excepted from a modern compilation. Placed in poly liners 3 years ago, vac cleaned tonight with cleaning solution, rinsed with distilled water, vaccumed that off. Quite shameful really, but these 'signed' promotions are far too tempting for some artists not to get involved with.

It’s a shame, because these are great songs… but nearly impossible to listen to with this much noise. Both records play abysmally, crackling, hissing and surface noise through at least 4/5's of both records. The track listing, personally selected by Elton, reflects the setlist with highlights from Diamonds, the Ultimate Greatest Hits Collection. It was released in a single disc version, a 2-CD version, a 3-CD deluxe box set, and a 2-LP vinyl version. We are really sorry for any frustration this causes and are working closely with our supplier to prevent a similar issue occurring in the future.Pin it on them a few times, make them pay to fix the issues and very quickly the QA issues will end.
