About this deal

Any item returned must be complete with all accessories, hardware, manuals, or instructions, and in the same "new" condition as when it was when shipped to you. Please send us photos or videos of it. Resolution capability-wise, it has a solid macro-dynamics and satisfactory micro-detail retrieval. It has rather a balanced resolution that I can't categorise as either sharp or blunted. Tonal colour of KIMA is more organic with a hint of brightness.

Kima capsules are kidney-shaped, but stubbier and rounder. They are made of high-density zinc alloy and their mouthpieces are made of gold-plated brass. The outer face has four separate planes: one on one side and three horizontal. These faces are almost trapezoidal in shape. Each gap is a linear edge. On one of these horizontal edges, the left capsule reads 'Criz Faction' and the right 'Kima', in a whitish, almost grey lettering. On the upper edge is the 2Pin connection, embedded in a transparent plastic plate, fully integrated into the body of the capsules. The inner side has two more or less flat levels. On the first level, the base, shaped like a semi-spiral, has a hole protected by a whitish cloth. And the topos indicating the channel: the letters R and L inside a circle, in this almost illegible colour. The second level, the skirt of the nozzle, is almost circular and more projecting. The step between the two levels is abrupt and distinguishable. On the edge you can read "DUNU 10mm DLC DYNAMIC". A little higher up there is another hole, also protected by the white mesh. Finally, there is the gold-plated brass mouthpiece. It has 3 levels, a very narrow base, a more elongated central band of 5.4mm and the tapering crown, with a diameter of 6.2mm. The total length of the mouthpiece is approximately 4.3mm. It is protected by a perforated metal grid, but it seems to have another coating underneath, some kind of thin film. At least, that's my impression. The treble is as clear and transparent as the original Kima, but the sound is more pronounced and exciting, especially in the lower treble. Despite starting at 10 kHz, the high treble has a timid response that, in my opinion, dims the soul of the vocalists or instruments while maintaining an airy presence. Most of the time, the sound felt similar to the original Kima, where the vocals sound natural; they aren't sibilant or hot, and the instrumentation is the same. The lower treble, on the other hand, performs melodically with the entire range while being upfront. The instrumentation is clear, and the vocals are lively. Every component is properly and fairly positioned, and they all work well together. The vocals and instruments are distinct and unobtrusive. The treble area responds by appearing generally soothing and unobtrusive. As a result, the treble region sounds more forward, clear, and crisp overall. KIMA began with an idea - gathering the greatest protectors from the legendary CRIZ FACTION and bringing them under one banner. Is there enough to really separate this set from the rest in the price point? Other than maybe it’s build, look, and the fact that the DKC is more of an all-rounder type listen. The Dunu Kima Classic doesn’t specialize in anything really but excels in a few key metrics. However, I really do enjoy them and am perfectly content and happy with them replaying my library of music. The Aria 2021 sounds a bit more metallic in timbre, and also has weaker technicalities - notably, imaging, micro-details, soundstage and instrument separation are a league behind the Kima Classic's.It's clear that Dunu knows how to bring a new model to market and attract attention. But to get to that point it has been necessary to build a good reputation. And, moreover, to maintain it. The hardest thing is always to maintain a status. But of course, with models like the Kima, that's the best way to prove it. The Kima midrange has a pleasing and relatively natural-sounding tonality. They are a touch warmer than neutral, adding to the weight and body of the sound, and the Kima avoid sounding light or thin.

The profile of the Dunu Kima is more balanced than that of the Titan S, being more neutral in the mid-highs and slightly higher in the mid-bass. It is also smoother in the treble, offering a more homogeneous and confident sound in the hot zones. The curve still has more emphasis in the upper-mids, but a subtle warmth can be observed throughout, avoiding any hint of harshness in that area. It is clear that there is nothing offensive in the profile of this new model and I feel that it has been created as a good all-rounder that does not excel in any particular band.DUNU has obtained internationally-recognized acoustic research achievements and patents. DUNU is one of the pioneers in developing a full beryllium dome single dynamic driver, featured in the LUNA. The company has also released some crowd favorites, such as the Titan S, DK-2001, Zen Pro, EST 112, VULKAN, KIMA, and SA6, in addition to having a vast accessory line-up. Technical Specifications Wow. I have so many questions. Who are the CRIZ FACTION? Where are they from? What are they protecting? Why are they gathered under one banner? Are there more from the CRIZ FACTION that we can expect? Will they all be anime girls? Where are the guys? Is this the start of the DUNU cinematic universe? Are we meant to catch them all?

Technically speaking, the response is identical to the original Kima; the image is crystal clear, the separation is superb, and the stage is effectively large enough. The resolution and intricacies are expressively reproduced in excellent detail, and the pace is fast enough to sound good. MidrangeThe Galileo has the more forward lower mids yet sounds slightly leaner in comparison. I wouldn’t call the sound thin though. The DKC gathers some more warmth from the low-end effectively giving a fuller sound. However, the Galileo comes across cleaner and more resolute. For female vocals and the upper midrange, the DKC sounds more forward by a touch. The Galileo has a smoother presentation in this range whereas the DKC offers a bit more in the way of shimmer and liveliness due to the boost in pinna gain. The Galileo is generally set closer to the ear with a less pronounced low-end which does well to draw out some of the finer details in the midrange. As far as vocals are concerned, I like the Galileo better. Vocals on the Galileo come across smoother and more up front with nice presence in the mix. The primary difference between the Kima and the Kima Classic is the new tuning profile for the pair. The OG Kima had a balanced sound output with a hint of warmth, the new Kima Classic has an increased presence for the lower-end and high-frequency regions bringing in a more vivid sound signature that complements Pop music well!! Classic New Color Scheme:-

I will look into the https://crinacle.com/2020/04/08/graphs-101-how-to-read-headphone-measurements/ and I will try to look for an IEMs with low bass and very high pinna gain. The Aria 2021 also is infamous for paint peeling off the shell, and the build and accessories pale in contrast to the Kima Classic.
