About this deal

Any player may play their cards to any Pile regardless of who started the card Pile, as long as the card is a legal play. Ligretto is a card game for two to twelve players. The game in its current form was designed by Michael Michaels and published in 1988 by the German company Rosengarten Spiele. Since 2000, the game has been published by Schmidt-Spiele of Berlin, Germany. A blue version of the game has been published by Playroom Entertainment for North America and other English-speaking countries since 2009. [1] If a player is unable to play any card, they must deal three cards from their hand and reveal only the top-most card. They must continue this until the revealed card can be played. Whilst we will do everything we can to meet the delivery times above, there may be factors outside of our control and we cannot guarantee delivery within this time frame.

Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Northern Ireland and the Scottish Highlands) may take longer to reach you. Draw 10 cards, which you will place, number visible, to the right of the row. This is the Ligretto draw pile. As long as the player does not find their card, they continue to draw 3 cards from their hand and discard. Good Time Holding bought the rights for the game in 1999, and since 2000 has been published by the subsidiary Schmidt Spiele. [4] Since its release, it has sold more than 4 million copies. [4] Gameplay [ edit ] The game play of Ligretto is simultaneous. In other words, there are no player turns. Players play cards to the table as fast as they can and at the same time.Once a card Pile is completed, with a 10 card being played on top, no more cards may be played on that Pile.

End of the Round

If the card revealed from the Hand is not playable, a player must continue to deal three cards, revealing only the top card, from their Hand until a legal card is playable. If a player has no 1 cards in their Row or no legal cards they are able to play, they must deal three cards from the top of their Hand and turn those cards over, revealing only the top-most card, face up.

A new Pile must be started with a 1 card. The 1 card must be played from either a player's Row or from their Hand. Ligretto is a fun way to play games. There is no “down time”. As things become more competitive, or with large numbers of players, inevitably players will stand and jostle for position to access the played cards in the middle of the table. This is a card game that can almost become physical. In many ways – the more the merrier, and certainly the louder. If no player can play another card, all participants reshuffle their hand, and a player proclaims "Ligretto!" to recommence the game. Ligretto was first released in 1988 by German company Rosengarten Spiele. It may have been inspired by Rasender Teufel, invented 1927 in Leipzig, which had an almost identical set of rules and play style. [3] It is also inspired by Dutch Blitz, [2] which was invented to teach children about colors and numbers easily. Ligretto is a fun way to play games. There is no “down time”. As things become more competitive, or with large numbers of players, inevitably players will stand and jostle for position to access the played cards in the middle of the table. This is a card game that can almost become physical. In many ways - the more the merrier, and certainly the louder. e.g. blue 2 can only be placed on blue 1. Blue 3 can only be placed on blue 2. And so on. Remember that blue 1 is placed directly on the table. Cards can be placed in the middle of any card table. Who placed the first card is completely irrelevant in this game.
