About this deal

Anakin and Obi-Wan search for their next source of info, a Lethan pilot on Naos III. After searching, and sampling, several taverns they finally find Fa'ale Leh, now going by Genne. Before having time to question her though they are ambushed and after a chase manage to escape their pursuers. Fa'ale is injured but is able to give them one piece of information. She delivered the ship to an area on Coruscant known as "The Works."

anakin is excellent (at least compared to the dire straits of his official counterpart). the love angle never worked, and the emphasis put on anakins militarism, distrust of institutions, and reliance on the emperor as a paternal figure makes for a much stronger narrative. this edit gives up the ghost on anakin being a misunderstood tragic hero: he is a power hungry, distrusting, and selfish. somehow he still emerges as more likeable than in the original by making him more confident and more emotionally reserved. Verdict:“Labyrinth’s” story still works, it’s just odd that they don’t use Maul’s name. Unnamed Ahsoka Not only does this improve Revenge of the Sith, but it even flows consistently with Hal's other movie edits. The much more likable Anakin from Hal's Episode II is the Anakin we see here. This is the Anakin we should have gotten, this Anakin feels more in line with the Anakin we got in the Clone Wars animated series. The reinforced friendship with Obi-Wan and Anakin between Hal's Episode II and III make for a much better battle in the end, Anakin's relationship with Padme between Hal's Episode II and III make for a much more tragic ending for the trilogy, and Anakin's much less angsty child-like behavior makes for a more believable Jedi warrior. Restating that the upcoming novel “Brotherhood” will present a canon version of the Cato Nemodia incident. However, since Labyrinth of Evil has now been edited to fit into canon, you can choose which Cato Nemodia incident Obi Wan is referring to in ROTS. There is no reason why Obi Wan and Anakin can’t visit Cato Nemodia twice during the Clone Wars. Depending on how much that novel conflicts with Labyrinth and if they can even coexist, I may make another update of LOE to reconcile the two.my biggest gripe is the removal of the banter between obi-wan and anakin on the invisible hand. mcgregor & christensen have really nice chemistry here, and the prequels need to grab every instance of anakin & obi-wan being friends with both hands imo. i know hal wants to maintain continuity with obi-wan not knowing r2, but the price is too high here. as it stands i still feel like its ridiculous to think that obi-wan doesnt recognise r2 in iv. i have no issue with reading it that hes hesitant to bring luke into danger and just playing dumb. after all, this is the "vader betrayed and murdered your father" guy. The duel on Mustafar plays out in full without cutting away to other plot threads. There is no duel between Yoda and Sidious. Not that the EU has bearing on my decisions, but I rather like Timothy Zahn's description in Spectre Of The Past: "If Luke's own current level of knowledge was any indication, Yoda could surely have defeated the Emperor all by himself. Yet he'd chosen instead to leave that task to Luke and the Rebel Alliance." Sounds like this won’t be too much of a concern. Here’s what the author of Brotherhood had to say on the subject: VIZ TOP TIPS! - PARENTS. Impress your children by showing them a floppy disk and telling them it’s a 3D model of a save icon. Author Hal 9000 Time 27-Feb-2014 2:40PM Post link We learn that Obi-Wan has been made a member of the Jedi Council, which is an amazing accomplishment for a man not yet in his forties! Anakin has been Knighted after the events on Praesitlyn, he’s lost a lot of his boyish humor, and he’s very unhappy with some of the choices the Jedi have made (foreshadowing for Episode III).

How have you handled the reason for a still-alive Padme only keeping Leia and not Luke. Didn't she like Luke? ;-) Did you have access to the shooting script f Italie, Hillel (April 6, 2005). "The best 'Revenge' – Novelizations give author high profile". The Kansas City Star. p.F1.Luceno said when writing a Star Wars novel that connects with a film, he begins by "asking myself when and where the full story began", then imagining younger versions of the characters from the films. [3] In the earliest outlines, the book was to build upon the opening crawl of Revenge of the Sith, particularly by depicting the off-screen kidnapping of Chancellor Palpatine. [6] The starting point for Labyrinth of Evil was a line of dialogue from Revenge of the Sith in which Obi-Wan Kenobi briefly mentions to Anakin Skywalker "that business on Cato Neimoidia", an event from their past which is not further elaborated upon in the film. [3] [7] Luceno called that line "the springboard for exploring Obi-Wan and Anakin's friendship". [3] Labyrinth of Evil was originally planned to include the death of Asajj Ventress, an antagonist from other Star Wars works whose story arc had remained unresolved by that point, but it was ultimately excluded from the final novel. a b Pierce-Bohen, Kayleena (March 28, 2019). "The 10 Best Star Wars Legends Books, Ranked". Screen Rant. Archived from the original on March 29, 2019 . Retrieved January 5, 2020. Removed most asinine dialogue as Padme arrives and confronts Anakin, including “I saw your ship.” No reference to younglings. Tension ratchets between the two as Anakin finds out Padme told Obi-Wan about their relationship. No discussion about Anakin trying to save Padme; she never knew about Anakin’s fears about that. Anakin doesn’t seem focused on it himself anymore. Improve the prequels in and of themselves, as films, through conventional ‘FanFix’ methodology. The pacing is improved, dialogue trimmed, and characters are developed better. This is the most readily apparent of these three goals that can be seen in The Phantom Edit, for example. The edits should be viable as Still, most of the book holds up – if somewhat shakily at times – in terms of EU continuity. (Disney hasn’t told its version of Palpatine’s kidnapping yet.) One of the fun things about being a Lucas-era “Star Wars” fan is playing armchair retconner, and I have retcons for most of the oddities in this book: Unknown Maul

Luceno never outright says that Palpatine is Sidious, but there are many hints along the way. It’s so obvious to me in the films that Palpatine is Sidious (ignoring my knowledge of the Original Trilogy, they have the same voice!) that I sometimes get frustrated with the Prequels treating Sidious’s identity as a great mystery. It’s that guy! It’s the Chancellor! He’s been there all along! Removed Obi-Wan and Yoda’s fight to enter the Temple. The line of dialogue about everyone being preoccupied about the Senate session is good enough. Dooku has this reaction when Sidious informs him that the Jedi have located the Sith's secret base on Coruscant. Currently on chapter 36. So far the additional editing is very seamless. I have some notes on what I feel can be approved on.
