About this deal

The German Concert Pianois a default sound that is more suited for classical pieces with its deep bass frequencies. Sharp-eyed readers will notice that the Korg B2 and B2SP are relatively similar, and they’re right. Like its predecessors, these digital pianos are only differentiated by the inclusion of a furniture-style stand and a 3-pedal setup. An Italian-made piano with beautifully bright expression and satisfying sustain. Pianists around the world are enraptured by its rich resonance and sensitive responsiveness. The sounds provided are "Italian concert piano," a bright-toned "Jazz piano," and a beautifully resonant "Ballad piano. Electric piano The key action and tones on this piano are excellent, and it is well-made. You will undoubtedly benefit from this entertaining and pleasant piano whether you are a total novice or an intermediate player. Differences The comments we shared for the B1 still apply here. Korg has once again created a digital piano that is no-frills (though one might say bare bones is a more accurate descriptor), though it certainly sounds amazing.

Korg lists the B2 as having a maximum 120 voices of polyphony, in line with the other competitors in this price range. For beginners, you won’t be disappointed with the B2. It will serve you well when starting out. Just know that there are better options out there. And also, what makes this model looks great is that it has software for you to learn how to play the piano like the Scoove and Korg Module. Having no layer mode also stings, but when you consider the already limited polyphony, layer mode (which plays multiple sounds at once) would be pretty limited. Transposition: It is possible to move up to 5 or 6 semitones, offering access to a complete octave of expanded range. Other functions exist, including some robust MIDI features like sending and receiving MIDI, Program Change, and Control Change data.

A dedicated stand that matches the colour of the B2 is included. Two horizontal boards act as beams to securely join both legs. The elegant design conceals the player’s feet and has the look of a refined upright piano. Three-pedal unit attaches to the stand. It’s also worth noting that sympathetic and damper resonance is included on the B2 and all its variations. These simulations emulate how neighboring strings are vibrated when you play a note, which further enhances realism. Could very well be a bad batch from the factory as we are seeing it at about the same time. Will update if I find out anything from the dealer. In addition, we appreciated the straightforward button labeling, which creates a more piano-like appearance than the conventional layout found on novice keyboards. The keys, which chose the lipped form of the key found on an acoustic piano, also look the part. Even yet, the B2 is very pleasurable to play, even though it may not have the finest sounding piano ever at this price point. The key motion is mild enough to not deter inexperienced players while being fluid and responsive. The Korg B2’s simple playing style will appeal to beginners without a doubt. It has a 1/8″ headphone outenables you to practice without disturbing the people around you. You can also plug in external amplifiers and speakers if you want to.Another thing to consider is the way the keys feel. They all strive to feel just like an acoustic piano, but they all feel a bit different from one another. It’s difficult to convey this difference so best to audition these in person if possible. Suffice to say they all have a nicely weighted action which admirably compares to an acoustic piano, albeit with subtle differences. The Casio and the Korg held their own here and we had a hard time trying to spilt them. This will likely come down to personal preference. Yamaha P45 Features: The other downside of the Korg B2 is that it doesn’t have a battery slot on it, so you have to use an AC adapter every you use it. First of all, many of today’s digital pianos use stereo samples, which sometimes require two or even more notes for each key played. Support services such as technical support or upgrade support for this product are provided according to the support service policies of Korg’s distributors applicable in each country. I mostly care about realistic key touch, you mentioned you prefer Roland FP10 keys “I also prefer Roland’s keyboard action, as per me it is more “natural”, but then you didn’t had the FP10 on the comparison tables ?
