This is probably one of the best all-round SUPs you can get for the money. Thanks to its sturdy, high-quality design, the BlueFin Cruise 12 is quite versatile. You can use it on all types of water without any problems. Not to mention the fact that it also doubles as a kayak when you attach the kayak seat that comes with it. With 14 D-rings, you have plenty of options for attaching your SUP accessories to, whether it be a dry bag or other clip on case to the waterproof phone bag included with every board. These D-rings are also high quality, and large enough to support many of the popular and common SUP accessories out there on the market. Beyond the D-rings, there is also an action mount on the nose, which is compatible with GoPro camera mounts, Bluetooth Speaker mounts, and other popular electronic mounts. If you have accessories, you’ll find a good place to put them on the 12’ Cruise Carbon. Accessories: new board bag, new pump, new paddle…but unfortunately the 2nd paddle blade and a kayak seat are no longer part of the standard delivery!

Another reason to buy the 12’ is if you are planning on using this as the family board. If you’re likely to have a little one sitting on the front or multiple children splashing around on the board at one time, you will have far more fun with the 12’. The BlueFin Cruise 12 comes with a fiberglass paddle with an adjustable length of a maximum of 2.15 meters. Almost everyone can use this paddle as it’s suitable for people up to 1.95 meters tall. You can even dismantle the paddle into three separate parts for easier storing and handling. Dual action – this time we were able to use the pump to deflate the board as well as inflate it. Hurrah for this Bluefin! This is the SUP that most people should get. It’s suitable for all heights, and both newbie and advanced paddlers will love it.Both the 10’8 and 12ft Bluefin Cruise are 82cm wide, which is pretty normal for an all-round beginner board. I like that Bluefin didn’t make the 12ft wider, because it would really affect its performance on the water and wouldn’t be fun to use. Cruising boards are characterized by the combination of a touring shape with a pointed nose as well as a straight tail and allrounder dimensions. Company Review – Bluefin

We love the performance of the Bluefin 12’ Cruise, but we also think the paddleboard stands out from the competition thanks to a number of other great features. Some of our favorite features we wish to highlight include the following: The classic 3 fin setup (2+1) has the consequence that the tipping stability and also the maneuverability are maximally pronounced. For beginners and for unspecific use, this is usually the best option. The BlueFin Cruise 12 features a blue and white design that will appeal to both male and female paddlers.

If you attach the camera to face you, it becomes a great training tool that will record your technique and body position. We think filming yourself is one of the best ways to improve, because you can really break down what you’re doing and what’s going wrong. You’ll be surprised that most of the time you aren’t bending your knees as much as you thought you were or reaching as far forward as you could for that paddle stroke. If you need to do some small SUP triage, you have a couple of options thanks to the SUP repair kit. The adhesive patches are easy to apply, and will seal up small holes and punctures as long as they don’t occur on the seams of the 12’ Cruise Carbon SUP. Also included in the repair kit is an inflation valve, which you can use to tighten up the Halkey-Roberts inflation valve if it ever comes loose.

As the name suggests, the Bluefin Cruise 2022 models belong to the cruising boards. With their wider yet streamlined shape, they are a middle ground between allrounders and touring boards. This does not change with the new series. The coiled ankle leash is comfortable and perfect for the style of paddleboarding you’ll do on the Bluefin. What I don’t like about the Cruise At about 12′ (366 cm), the Bluefin Cruise 12 towers over its little brother in the 10’8 (about 325 cm) class by about 16” (41 cm). As an all-around board, this is one of the most universal paddleboard options on the market, and can be used to try a bit of everything out on the water. Accessories In the Bluefin Cruise Carbon (in contrast to the normal Bluefin Cruise), the US fin box system is used for the center fin. The fin is screwed to the fin box with a threaded plate and a smaller screw. With a little practice, the assembly takes about 45 seconds. A matching seat and also the 2nd paddle blade (double paddle) are unfortunately no longer included, however, but are on the surcharge list! The main advantage of this technique, apart from the excellent bonding of the layers, is the low weight.
