About this deal

I grew up in the 1950s/early ’60s UK. From the age about 9 to 12 we had school swimming lessons. Once per week the class walked in a crocodile, in pairs, to the local municipal pool. Everyone wore swim suits in the water, but afterwards in the boys’ changing room (no cubicles) we immediately stripped off and dried ourselves while larking about, joking, or just chatting, totally naked and unselfconscious. So why has it become a taboo thing now? I think there are a number of reasons, but the 'gay rights' movement certainly is a major factor. When I was a kid homosexuality wasn't talked about in public. Most kids didn't even know such a thing existed. I had heard of it but thought it was extremely rare- something you only read about in psychology books. For the purpose of showing you the effects of what waxing can achieve for you, I've included 'before and after' pictures and some other examples, so that you'll get an understanding of what sort of results can be gained. That's ok, I'm aware that these images may contain explicit full frontal nudity of various body areas, in particular male and female genitalia. Something very strange happens to men as they get older: they like to go nude. I don’t mean they become practising nudists who seek out and enjoy the company of others of their kind. But unlike most younger men, they feel no embarrassment or regret at being seen naked.

Taboos against nakedness grew in Europe in the 18th century. Women began to wear more layers of clothing and protected their modesty and avoided the gaze of men at the beach by entering the water through elaborate bathing machines. In the United States, bathing suits were exceedingly modest until the bikini arrived after World War II. As naturists we enjoy being nude, preferably outdoors, for social and recreational activities. We enjoy the freedom of being without clothes whenever possible and practical. Communal bathing and spas have been around for thousands of years, but the concept of modesty is a relatively recent one for Western culture. Many indigenous people would play sports without any covering, and athletes in ancient Greece also competed naked. In fact, the Greek word gymnasium means “ a school for naked exercise.” Certain aspects of the tradition of naked competition still existed when I was growing up in the early 1960s. When I was growing up in the 1950s & 60s communal nudity was common and routine. I learn to swim with a dozen other naked boys at the local YMCA. Swimsuits were not even allowed in the Y pool. At summer camp no-one had swimsuits- we 'skinnydipped' in the lake. At school gym class everyone showered together. Communal showers and toilets were the norm in college and the military. Same-sex nudity was just taken for granted in those days.Over the years I’ve practiced medicine, I learned several things about male modesty that I don’t ever remember being told during my training. Many men don’t like being watched while they undress. I leave the room while they change, and offer them the same gowns I would a female patient, rather than assuming they are comfortable sitting around in their underwear. Gynecomastia (growth of male breast tissue) is common in all men. We generally think of it as a phenomenon of aging, but a surprising 65 percent of adolescents have it to some degree. Many men do not feel comfortable taking off their shirt to get into a hot tub or swimming pool, and, just like women, they may also feel uncomfortable sitting on the examination table without a shirt or gown. What’s more, a digital rectal exam can be just as unnerving to a man as a pelvic examination can be for a woman. Once I moved out on my own, I never wore clothes when I was at home, unless was having friends over and didn't want to offend them. Now, when I come home, the clothes are the first thing to come off and I stay naked for the rest of the time. I have 2 roommates and both know I sleep naked and they know if they come in my room I am going to be naked. They come in and hang out all the time and it doesn't bother them. I even have this rule, if any of our friends want to stay the night in my bed, they have to sleep nude as well. Consider us a pictorial experience for the male naturist set. Great articles, great information, great naked men, travel advice, interviews, an ever-changing calendar of events, reader submitted stories and inspiring photographs, we aim to provide our readers with the information they need to meet other naturist males.

Pyjamas were worn at night, but it was absolutely forbidden to keep any underwear on at the same time – regarded as very unhealthy to wear in bed anything we’d been wearing during the day. But our pjs were long-sleeved and long-legged, so in hot weather I was often allowed to put on clean underpants and singlet to wear in bed instead. Then at the age of 15 I thought, hey, why bother putting on anything at all? And I found it SO comfortable to sleep in the buff that I’ve been totally bare in bed ever since: summer, spring, autumn, AND winter! I was already in medical school when I took my military entrance physical for the doctor draft. It was high school all over again. Grown men of different shapes and sizes, lined up to be poked and prodded. No one ever forgets being told to "bend over and grab your ankles." With the increasing number of women in the military, I decided to research the current military physical exam. The article contains a section, “For Women Only," where it proudly states that, "your visit with the physician will be in a private room." Not so for the men, apparently. Six paragraphs down under a section titled "Do", it says "Wear normal underwear. You will be sorry if you don't!" Once again, a man's modesty is a joke. I like to talk with my doctor with my clothes on but, in the name of efficiency, I am often asked to undress and wait. The playing field is not level. CMEN is an international social organization for gay, bisexual, and gay-sensitive men who enjoy nude social and recreational activities.Yes guys are becoming more and more body conscious, due to the incessant advertising that practically states that if you don't have a washboard abdomen and are cut and rippling everywhere with 0% bodyfat, then you are worthless..... I wholeheartedly disagree with Parents fear sex and equate sex with nudity. Children are told to never show their "private parts" to anyone.
