my barcode won't scan (has no numbers on urban sticker) and the etching on mine does not match any of the both urban listings on here.It's pretty quiet, the packaging was nice as well; very happy they didn't use a plain, white sleeve for the record.

In 2022, following on the heels of the 2X Platinum single “Glimpse of Us”, Joji released his latest album SMITHEREENS, which expands on the powerful emotions of the breakout hit. One of the only times I heard a few popping sounds but it wasn't present throughout the whole track only in the very beginning and end. An Album that has heavy bass and well, when it comes to the album (If you're here I guess you like it, right?The centre labels were again quite minimalistic, a theme Joji was obviously going for, and looked good. I noticed little to no noise between the tracks on this album, really good pressing for being a more "big box" retail variant. Overall this is a very mid level in terms of pressing quality, as for the music (not the sound of this record) Joji is a great artist. First off, how's the sound quality on this pressing because I remember the clear pressing being abysmal.

Really wanted to like this but the sound in this is not good, the tracks that have deep base don’t sound great and my copy skips on the first track fresh out of the wrapping. On the album, Billboard raved, “Anyone familiar with Joji’s dulcet tones and emotionally revealing lyricism could have predicted that he’d become a solo star. but to be honest, I fell in love with it, my copy is almost dead silence and the sound is really good. The spine was centred, the material was tough, the inner sleeve was printed this time and not a generic paper one, and had a doodle by Joji printed on one side (scanned incredibly well, it looks amazing in 12"! After a/b comparison I can say this version is far far far more superior in term of sound quality than the black one. At first, Joji was a low-key outlet, via which the onetime internet comedian (popularly masquerading as Filthy Frank) could explore his sensitive side, in the form of lo-fi beats and whisper-sung verses. Was looking through the Joji Subreddit and found out this pressing was supposed to be gold instead of white. bass is incredible, surface noise is essentially nonexistent, and the mastering is fantastic overall.

Otherwise every song sounds great and mastered well for vinyl, aside from some odd and jarring distortion in the end of WHY AM I STILL IN LA, and beginning of NO FUN on the left audio channel. Now reissued, not for the first time, on an indie exclusive version via GLXY, Joji is more than living his introspective side down. I wouldn't class them as excellent, but then again I don't really know what my definition of excellent would be. Joji (George Miller) debuted his first album-length solo project Ballads 1 in 2018, after reviving the formerly semi-private moniker whose first incarnation could originally only be found on YouTube. Maybe thats because that's a LoFi record and it's difficult to make a deep sound when you making that kind of music.
