FSM Board: PR: LA LA LAND TITLES DEBUTING AT COMIC CON 2012". Filmscoremonthly.com. July 1, 2012 . Retrieved May 24, 2015.

A mob war between crime bosses Rupert Thorne and Arnold Stromwell leads to a supposed peace talk where Stromwell is set up to be killed in an explosion by Thorne, but Batman saves him at the last moment. Aided by Stromwell's brother (a priest who lost a leg in a childhood accident for which Stromwell carries secret guilt), Batman tries to persuade Stromwell to give up his life of crime and help the police bring Thorne down by testifying against him. Kevin Conroy used different voices to distinguish between his portrayal of Bruce Wayne and Batman, a tactic used previously by Michael Keaton in Tim Burton's live-action films. [24] Conroy based his dual-voice performance on the 1934 film adaptation of The Scarlet Pimpernel. [16] Other characters [ edit ]

Side guide

Just before Harvey Dent is to undergo surgery to fix the damage to his face in the hopes that it will give him the mental stability needed to erase his Two-Face persona, he is kidnapped by a gang with an unknown leader. Batman and Robin split up to find who abducted Bruce Wayne's old friend, suspecting that the Penguin or Rupert Thorne may be behind the kidnapping. Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (1993)– based on The Animated Series; the film started production as a direct-to-video release, but was ultimately changed into a theatrical release. [27] Although the film was not a financial success upon its initial release, it earned widespread acclaim and has since become a commercial success through its various home media releases. [28] In terms of its physical presentation, Batman: The Complete Animated Series - Deluxe Limited Edition really pretty keen. Overall, it's sleek, has some weight to it, and it doesn't take up too much extra space on one's shelf, though there are a couple small things that could be an issue for consumers. Now, what about the actual content on the discs themselves? How do the episodes look? How are the bonus features? Well, as I said above, prepare to be amazed. Note: This episode features the first appearance of the Joker's accomplice and love interest Harley Quinn in any Batman media. When Commissioner Gordon is framed with allegations of taking bribes from Rupert Thorne, his daughter Barbara pleads with Batman to attend a rally on the commissioner's behalf. But when Batman disappears after finding the person behind the frame-up, Barbara takes the law into her hands as Batgirl.

Most of the villains featured in the season are reinterpretations of those that fought against the DC heroes who teamed-up with Batman. These villains include Lex Luthor (voiced by Clancy Brown, reprising his role from the DC Animated Universe), Mercy Graves (voiced by Gwendoline Yeo), Metallo (voiced by Lex Lang), Count Vertigo (voiced by Greg Ellis), the Toyman (voiced by Richard Green), the Shadow Thief (voiced by Diedrich Bader), Sinestro (voiced by Miguel Ferrer), and the Mirror Master (voiced by John Larroquette). Only the Terrible Trio (voiced by David Faustino, Grey DeLisle, and Googy Gress), [8] the Wrath (voiced by Christopher Gorham), and Phosphorus are reinterpretations of Batman villains. Phosphorus differs in the show from the comic version, in that Firefly mutates into him, giving him the same radioactive skills and incorporating Phosphorus's insanity, while the Terrible Trio mutated themselves and others into animal hybrids using a mutagen created by Kirk Langstrom. Note: Based on the comic-book story "The Cape and Cowl Death Trap!" from Detective Comics #450 August 1975, written by Elliot S. Maggin.
