About this deal

The retail price on the Space Station is 74,95 €, to me this feels like it’s definitely worth it. When you hold the space station and feel it’s weight, to me it feels like you get a whole lot of Lego for your money. This document defines the main performance characteristics of these appliances that are of interest to the user and specifies methods for measuring these characteristics. I give this set 8/10 points. I can’t really say that there is something that I don’t like about this set, but I think the other sets are more aesthetic. The gravity on the moon is far less than on earth Lunar Research Base 60350

Personally, I believe there is a ‘spirit’ of Classic Space: cooperative exploration, humans working together to extend their reach beyond earth, to explore the galaxy peacefully. The presence of the Classic Space Logo helps. LEGO City has had a recurring space subtheme since the mid noughties. Traditionally, these sets have been set on Earth, until in 2019, we had a variety of shuttles and rovers preparing to head to Mars. Don’t get me wrong: we had sets on Earth, as well as off-world, and they appeared to have been designed with some more practical details: closed cabins, computer screens and shields on the front of helmets, but they embraced the spirit of 1978-87. Another nice feature is the solar panel ”wings”, you can switch their position by opening a hatch and taking out a thing, perhaps it’s a battery? There is also a robotic arm with a clamp on the outside of the station that can hold on to things. This is a great feature that adds to the playability of the set, however I would have liked if the arm was more movable, with another joint for example.
