About this deal

Additionally, employing this element enables the canopy to open smoothly, although access is restricted by the dorsal wing. Fortunately, another method is available. The boarding ramp and entrance are not functional, inevitably, but they are represented by one dark bluish grey 2x2 tile which seems appropriately distinctive among the surrounding components. His face print features the injured eye, as well as extensive scarring on the left side of his face. His breathing tubes are a new silver molded piece but look superb and less clunky than the previous version, and while his hat is smaller than previous variants it still looks good too. Each member of the Bad Batch has a distinct personality and a unique set of armor. Also, despite the fact that they are clones, they each have unique facial features whether that be scars, face paint, goggles, tattoos, and even cybernetic implants. We wanted to make sure to capture all of these fun features in the minifigures, and we created a few new elements to help with that as well. Seeing Crosshair’s new set of armor for the first time made me very excited to watch the new Bad Batch series! I can’t wait to see how and why he gets it." Unfortunately, the downside of this play feature is the huge amounts of exposed Technic mechanism on the final model – including odd colors such as red and blue.

I appreciate the final craft: it’s satisfying to hold and swoosh, a little less so to display with the wings deployed. The fact that it can hold four members of the crew is an added bonus The speeder bikes are a nice addition to the set, providing another focus for some action away from the shuttle. I also like how the Justifier looks in its landed mode from the front – the landing gear looks pretty neat below each wing, like some sort of Star Wars airplane.Hunter also has his unique gunmetal grey helmet, which looks good. I always like it when LEGO includes both hairpieces and helmets for relevant minifigures.

Alternative hair pieces accompany these minifigures and each character includes an exclusive head, distinguishing them from standard Clone Troopers. Hunter's facial tattoos and headband are both included, although this headband is hidden under the hair element. Tech looks perfect though, featuring his trademark goggles and a quizzical expression on the reverse. The design shares fitting similarities with other Clone Trooper minifigures. Monkie Kid 80054 Megapolis City: 10 Reasons That This Middle-Aged AFOL Is Excited! November 7, 2023 The wings are also able to pivot up and down. After attaching them, we build some cowling over the engines. The fourth minifigure in the set is Cad Bane himself, who makes an awesome return to LEGO form with new pieces and prints. Many fans will probably buy this set for Cad Bane, but I still think the minifigure selection could have been improved. While Hunter and Fennec are both very relevant to the scene, the fact that they’re both reused figures is kind of disappointing for a set at this price point. The other speeder bike is a civilian design, named the Rawlings TK5. Hunter commandeered one such vehicle on Pantora. I love the lime green livery, accented with white stripes adorning the bodywork and adjustable thrust pods. These correspond precisely with the source material and the length of 14cm seems reasonably authentic too. Moreover, the outriggers look suitably slender but feel rigid.

It’s worth noting that the ship doesn’t have to be in landing mode to be on display, as it balances on a flat surface in both landing and flight mode. An opening cargo container is also available for accessories and can be removed fairly easily, providing space for another minifigure when necessary. The additional seat is not displayed in any official images but was presumably intended, otherwise this container would be integrated more closely. This option is definitely appreciated, despite the tight squeeze! He has a double-sided head with stern and angry expressions, and a hairpiece which is a reasonable approximation but not perfect, as his headband is printed on his head instead of being moulded into his hair. The two speeders are included because we wanted to add some extra value to the set. We know that the speeders will be seen in the show, however, we do not know exactly in which context they will be seen. I guess we will have to wait and see like everybody else. We also love Gonk droids, so we are excited too, and happy that we were able to include one here."Overall, the minifigure selection in this set is probably one of its stronger assets, and LEGO likely knows that. The exclusive Cad Bane and Omega are going to be huge draws, but with Hunter and Fennec Shand being reused minifigures, the number of exclusive figures in this set is lower than smaller sets like 75336 Inquisitor Transport Scythe. She has great printed details on her torso, legs, and arms, plus a double-sided face with smiling and smirking expressions.

Following his extensive injuries on Lola Sayu and Skako Minor, Echo joins the Bad Batch and wears armour which complements his squadmates. Unfortunately, the kama that distinguishes Echo from other Bad Batch members is printed rather than employing a fabric element and the helmet seems imperfect as well, despite featuring excellent detail. Echo's decorated arm looks splendid though, portraying his cybernetic implants. And … that’s all the minifigs. If you’re caught up on The Clone Wars enough to be watching The Bad Batch as it airs, a key character is clearly missing from the minifig assortment: Omega. Five minifigs make sense for the price point, and of course, we would want all members of the original Clone Force 99, but the set feels incomplete without this new character. Conclusions & recommendation I give the set 4/5 Arbitrary praise units. If you are a fan of the Bad Batch – whether from the final season of The Clone Wars, or their own program, you will probably get joy from this set. The jail cell for Omega uses a translucent red wall panel which is pretty accurate, and the Omega minifigure fits comfortably inside. Minifigures [4] – Cad Bane and Omega are excellent figures, but could have had a couple more figures given the reused Hunter and Fennec Shand minifigs.

Hunter, Tech, Wrecker, Echo, and Crosshair hit the bricks after Order 66.

This is not a new minifigure, as he previously appeared in last year’s Bad Batch Shuttle set but he’s still a nice minifigure though, and I like the printed details on his gunmetal grey armor. Innovation [3] – Some fun play features and the engine pod looks unique thanks to a cool build technique, but overall nothing super innovative. The next minifigure is Fennec Shand, who is also not new; however, this is the first set which includes Fennec with both her hair and helmet. It’s a 1000 piece set with 5 minifigures and not much interior space, and does not offer much more in terms of play value or piece count than cheaper sets like 75337 AT-TE Walker and even 75336 Inquisitor Transport Scythe. The BARC speeder has essentially been recoloured from the 501st squadron set, and as such feels a little uninspired.
