By default, the video doorbell plays a digital chime sound through its internal speaker when the ringer button is pressed. If your existing chime system is not compatible, you can add the Video Doorbell to a Sync Module system to enjoy features such as on-demand Live View, manual thumbnail images, and more. SOME "smart" doorbells do have an interface for your existing doorbell but you still have to have 2 transformers as one is 24v the other is 12v. Note: You will need to remove doorbell from the mounting plate and press the reset button on the back of the doorbell.
