I don’t feel we “know” him quite in the same way we know Wren, but we still get to see him evolve as he decides how to be a man, to be worthy of the girl he’s been chasing. He finds a lot of himself in Wren, and I loved how we get to see them be real FRIENDS as part of their romance- though their steamy side is so delicious too. His gentleness and patience with Wren makes this whole story- he’s the first boyfriend we all wanted. At the beginning, I wasn’t sure how I felt about Wren. But as I continued reading, her fears, insecurities, the relationship with her parents, being sheltered and forced into an obscured belief where she fears any form of intimacy, opened my mind to understand her character. I fell in love with her writing style, how she described thoughts and emotions; light and accessible, and at the same time almost tangible, as if I could touch and feel these words on my own skin. I fell in love with the way she created the atmosphere, the vibe, the electrifying chemistry. Everything about this book was cohesive, the plot interesting, and the characters well developed.
