Initially focusing on coffee services and trays, Alessi acquired international popularity during the 1950s through working with renowned architects and designers such as Ettore Sottsass. So it's a kettle and it does what I need it to do - but out in the kitchen it doesn't look as good as I hoped.

Hello, I have just purchased this kettle, and as much as I do like the design and looks, I’m confused as to why the kettle ‘wobbles’ when it is on the base. The matt finish is fine and the design is good but it looks so plasticky (apologies - appreciate this isn't a word but the best way I can describe).
