About this deal

It is a recommended precaution that children or adults do not pet, play or sleep with treated animals until the application site is dry. It can be applied to cats from 8 weeks of age that weigh at least 1 kg and ferrets from 6 months of age. If they do come into contact with rain within 48 hours after treatment, it’s unlikely that they’ll get so wet that the product is washed away. Unlike other flea treatments, FRONTLINE Plus® kills ticks too, helping to reduce the risk of tick-borne disease transmission. FRONTLINE Plus® is the most advanced formula within the FRONTLINE® range of flea and tick treatments for cats.

It is good practice to use a preventative flea treatment anyway as prevention is always easier than treatment when it comes to external parasites. The (S)-methoprene in FRONTLINE Plus for Dogs prevents development of flea eggs and flea larvae, breaking the flea life cycle. Fipronil collects in the oils of the skin and hair follicles, and continues to be released from hair follicles onto the skin and coat, resulting in effective tick and flea control for long-lasting activity against fleas and ticks. The only products containing these two ingredients are prescription only medications and so we will require a written prescription from your vet to dispense them to you. FRONTLINE PLUS ® for extra-large dogs can be used on dogs over 40 kg – there’s no upper weight limit for this product. If you do not have a scale at home, or if your dog is too heavy to pick up, then take your dog to the vet’s office. FRONTLINE PLUS ®, FRONTLINE TRI-ACT ® and FRONTLINE ® SPOT ON have an exemplary safety profile and adverse reactions to the treatments are very rare. jpg","smallWidth":460,"smallHeight":345,"bigWidth":728,"bigHeight":546,"licensing":"

It is only for use in cats, unfortunately there are no over the counter worming spot ons for use on dogs. These dying fleas often rise to the top of the pet’s coat and bounce, so if you see fleas after treatment, it’s often a sign the product has got to work.

It is not advised to use all the pipettes at the same time, you should dose monthly as per the datasheet. They die by 'excitation' so it is expected to see increased flea activity during this 48 hour period as the fleas are killed.

Unlike some other flea treatments, it kills both fleas and ticks on your pet to help protect them from the discomfort and diseases these parasites cause.Miliary Dermatitis is clinical sign rather than a diagnosis in itself, a bit like saying your cat has a crusty rash. Flea eggs and flea larvae that are exposed to (IGR) (S)-methoprene will never develop into the adult jumping, biting and (most important) reproducing fleas. My dogs run in Moorland, when its its not nesting time, and pick up ticks, particularly the smaller smoother haired spaniel. However, if your dog weighs more than 132 pounds, you’ll need to combine products to get the correct dosage. Frontline do not make a worming spot on however you can use Dronspot, this is a spot on that covers roundworms and tapeworms.

FRONTLINE ® Plus for Dogs provides fast, effective and convenient treatment and control of fleas and ticks for dogs and puppies. For best flea control and effective tick control, apply FRONTLINE ® Plus monthly throughout the year. However this is a bird specific mite and so it should not be able to cause an infestation in your dog.To kill ticks that may carry and transmit these serious diseases, count on the control of FRONTLINE ® Plus. I want to use the FLP I have for the heavier dog on my new, lighter doggy and just needed the correct dosage (ml) for the 5-22 lb. When used as directed, pets treated with FRONTLINE ® flea and tick treatments do not pose a health risk to children or adults. Fleas and ticks are killed through contact with your pet’s skin and coat – they don’t need to bite to be killed. FRONTLINE PLUS ® for Cats can only be used on cats and ferrets; FRONTLINE PLUS ® for Dogs can only be used on dogs; FRONTLINE ® SPOT ON for Cats can only be used on cats; FRONTLINE ® SPOT ON for Dogs can only be used on dogs and FRONTLINE TRI-ACT ® can only be used on dogs.
