About this deal
It is a recommended precaution that children or adults do not pet, play or sleep with treated animals until the application site is dry. It can be applied to cats from 8 weeks of age that weigh at least 1 kg and ferrets from 6 months of age. If they do come into contact with rain within 48 hours after treatment, it’s unlikely that they’ll get so wet that the product is washed away. Unlike other flea treatments, FRONTLINE Plus® kills ticks too, helping to reduce the risk of tick-borne disease transmission. FRONTLINE Plus® is the most advanced formula within the FRONTLINE® range of flea and tick treatments for cats.
It is good practice to use a preventative flea treatment anyway as prevention is always easier than treatment when it comes to external parasites. The (S)-methoprene in FRONTLINE Plus for Dogs prevents development of flea eggs and flea larvae, breaking the flea life cycle. Fipronil collects in the oils of the skin and hair follicles, and continues to be released from hair follicles onto the skin and coat, resulting in effective tick and flea control for long-lasting activity against fleas and ticks. The only products containing these two ingredients are prescription only medications and so we will require a written prescription from your vet to dispense them to you. FRONTLINE PLUS ® for extra-large dogs can be used on dogs over 40 kg – there’s no upper weight limit for this product. If you do not have a scale at home, or if your dog is too heavy to pick up, then take your dog to the vet’s office. FRONTLINE PLUS ®, FRONTLINE TRI-ACT ® and FRONTLINE ® SPOT ON have an exemplary safety profile and adverse reactions to the treatments are very rare. jpg","smallWidth":460,"smallHeight":345,"bigWidth":728,"bigHeight":546,"licensing":"
