We stayed at this hotel for a short (7 night) winter break. It is situated in a quiet secluded location which is perfect for those that prefer to get away from the touristy areas of the island. While Secrets may not suit everyone, it was perfect for what we required. Congratulations and well done to all the team and hope to see you again!

The next day when Laura and Chloé from the guest experience team discovered we were celebrating a special anniversary, a bottle of Cava and some beautiful chocolates were sent to our room.From the moment we arrived at the reception, we knew we were in a resort where the staff take the happiness and comfort of the guest personally. A purpose-built detox retreat in the heart of the Essex countryside, the Glass House offers a broad range of treatments, from a cryotherapy chamber to hydrating body wraps and facials. Days tend to be structured (although guests are welcome to opt in and out of activities), with an early morning walk, time for spa treatments of your choice in the morning and afternoon, and wellness talks or vegan food demonstrations. Rooms come with soothing countryside views, vegan spa products and the fluffiest of robes. This rooftop spa and garden at Rudding Park makes full use of Harrogate’s world-famous waters, offering a wide range of hydrotherapy and thermal experiences. Beyond the usual massage and facials, the spa also offers specific treatments for mums-to-be, those with dermatological conditions and who are living with or recovering from cancer. There are treatments for the mind, too, with “Energy Healing” sessions that promise increased focus and energy, and less stress and anxiety. The hotel also has its own golf course – ideal for keeping non spa-loving partners happy. Whether you’re the blushing bride-to-be or the chic wedding guest, 2023 is the biggest year for weddings.

However on our last night we returned to our room following after dinner drinks to discover that a conference group booked into the hotel for that weekend were having a disco at the open air Lounge VERY close to our room. I phoned Guest Services just to ask when the disco would finish, thinking that if it was midnight we could turn the TV on to drown out the thump thump thump of the disco. I was appalled to be told it would be 2am. The lady said it had nothing to do with the hotel as the conference people and booked and paid for the event! Thank you for taking the time to share your comments about your recent stay with us; we sincerely regret to learn that your perception of our services didn't exceed your expectations and ended that way. Another night we ate in the in-house fish restaurant, Oceana. Here the service was much better, although we found our main course, cod, very dry. The staff were nice – smiling and helpful in the main – but I felt that they were let down by the hotel management and the entire system.If you’re not intending on using the facilities, arrive 20 – 30 minutes before your treatments to allow time to sit, relax, grab a drink and take in your surroundings. If you’ve rushed in or late, you won’t be able to enjoy the experience as much, as well as impact on the others that follow you. We are delighted that we were able to achieve a room change to your liking and that you enjoyed the "lovely quiet location of our hotel". Whilst your original sea-view allocation afforded a pleasant view of the sea, the vista did include villas below. The Bluewater Grill meals were good and therefore had exceptionally long queues. I can be fussy with steaks but their pork escalope was excellent. As a team we are thankful for your compliments and special mentions to Borja, Konte, Laura, Isabel and myself.
