About this deal

I try to keep this disto’s choice of titles within the realms of volume eleven, but this is one of those folky, lo-fi albums that everybody needs to own and cherish, regardless of your religion. In terms of the remastering comparing with older versions, it doesn't really sound that revolutionary. I have the 180gm reissue (with Lyric sheet and download code), and the matrix is the exact same as mentioned above concerning an ORIGINAL pressing.

My copy has the original insert as well but then I thought that was also replicated in the reissues? This album features the original tracks carefully remastered from original tapes under the supervision of Larry Crane, owner of Jackpot! Indeed, some will complain that the ramshackle charm and the little mistakes in the originals have been ironed out. Mine always sounded great, but I figured because it was a later pressing it was sourced from the CD, or didn't sound as good as an original. The double LP is packaged in a gatefold jacket that includes an insert of the original liner notes, a postcard of the original master tapes, and several never-before seen photos. Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary. It contains the seminal "Between the Bars", his sweetest love song "Say Yes", the hurt tale of abuse "2.

This album is packed with great songs, several of my favorites being "Ballad of Big Nothing", "Pictures of Me", and "No Name No.It appears that 20 years has past since the late Steven Elliott Smith recorded his greatest album "Either/Or". This led to the Oscar nomination for best song with "Miss Misery" which is not included on this album but saw Smith undertake one of the most real if culturally out of place performances in the ceremonies history.

The late Elliott Smith has now achieved a real cult following, and is largely regarded as some kind of musical 'genius'. The mastering on vinyl makes this incredible record justice, impeccable crafted songs, arrangements and performance expanding way beyond its low budget studio sessions. Book-ended by the two singles "Speed Trials" and "Ballad of Big Nothing", Either/Or did not chart in the US but was acclaimed by critics.I wouldn't be surprised to discover the original stampers weren't worn out, as 1997 was a low point for vinyl, and they probably didn't press too many at the time.
