The Nest Learning Thermostat 3rd Generation is just that - a smart thermostat with an attractive design and an easy-to-use layout. Heating and Cooling: one stage of heating (W1) and cooling (Y1) and a second stage of either heating (W2)or cooling (Y2). Nest claims both thermostats can save an average of 10 to 12 percent on heating bills and 15 percent on cooling bills. As long as the thermostat base is from the same model, generation and country/region as the thermostat display, you can swap bases and displays.

Note:Only one of the wires that go into theconnector (HUM,DEHUM,E,W 3) can be connected to the Nest Learning Thermostat. High voltage and low voltage thermostat parts are not compatible with each other, and should not be used together.
