Some essential oils are safe for kids 2 and older, and others are safe for kids 10 and up. Don't use essential oils for kids under 2 unless directed by a physician. Heat the whipped soap base in a small bowl or microwave safe container in 20 second bursts, stirring between each interval, until completely melted.

You can also take a knife and score the soap with lines before pouring the next layer. This helps the soap get into those cut lines and adhere better. Use rubbing alcohol even if you score the soap.
