About this deal

To simply view Adam’s death as that of another intrepid special operator killed in action, though, is to ignore so much of what made this man special. His Christian faith and his devotion to his family truly set him apart. And he refused to include the word ‘can’t’ in his lexicon, even studying for an undergraduate degree into the wee hours of the morning before going to work as a SEAL, and then aspiring to one day attend Harvard Business School! More than halfway through... I could hardly put this one down last night... I have found that what touches me the most lately in what I am reading is where the story is based on a true story. Josh Kendall: One of Loki's henchmen, he is one of four clones created by Loki in an attempt to re-create Gaia's fearless condition. The first Josh fell in love with Gaia's friend Heather, but is later killed. All four of the clones are eventually killed by Loki.

Adam Brown was truly a one-of-a-kind man, the type of man who makes you proud to call him your friend. Overcoming his demons with drug addiction and arrest, he finds God and his path in life by joining the United States Navy and after years of hard work and some possibly career-ending injuries, eventually becomes a proud and elite member of SEAL Team Six, the most prestigious Special Warfare group hands down. I'm not going to rehash the story as so many other reviewers did, but I will say that EVERY high school student in the United States should be required to read this book and learn about Adam - the kind of selfless and God fearing man he was, generous to a fault, a true, kind and gentle friend who helped and cared about everyone who he crossed paths with in his short life, one of the best husbands and fathers I have ever read about, and an American hero. If everyone could turn their life around and be just like Adam, the world would be a much better place. I truly wished I had known him. My life would have been so much richer for it. I can't really say more and certainly can not say it better than the publisher has in the overview of the book (see above). I can say, though, that it awes me to think that American men can push themselves to such physical, mental, and emotion limits and still push on. It awes me the sacrifice they are making to provide a safe America and a safer World. D Moore: Gaia's younger brother, D was introduced in the second super edition and has the ability to see auras. He was kidnapped shortly after birth and his parents were told that he had died in childbirth. Unlike Gaia, D has little physical abilities and is slightly autistic and handicapped. He eventually ends up living on a farm with caring parents. The final story arc introduces the Rodke family, a wealthy family that owns a well-known global pharmaceutical company. Gaia befriends the youngest two Rodke siblings, Liz and her twin brother Chris after they transfer to the high school. During this time a mysterious drug dealer known only by the alias "God" begins introducing a new street drug called "Invince" to the New York areas. The drug causes users to feel invincible and fearless with extreme aggression and rage. While not the same drug; it greatly resembles the one created by Oliver while he was 'Loki'. The distribution of Invince causes crime and assaults to greatly increase throughout the city.Overall, however, I find it very easy to separate Blehm from Adam Brown, Kelley Brown, and the family. I am a little disappointed for them that this was the person they chose/person they had to go with as the deliverer of the message. Beyond that, though, their amazing son/husband/brother/father is a hero whose light shines through and shines on. Carpan, Carolyn (2008). I fell in love with his friends and everyone in the Navy Seal community and TO KNOW that they ALL died 2 weeks after this book was written in a helicopter crash shot down absolutely rips me to pieces. But the most important thing that I have come to know is that life is not just about how we look – it’s about gaining the knowledge we need to navigate whatever life throws at us. So, I’ve included a life section to share what I’ve learned along the way, the everyday barriers that impact my confidence and how I feel. In each chapter I set you a practical challenge, because there is a big difference between reading and action – it is action that propels us and allows us to make positive change in your own life. To represent the different ages, shapes, styles and attitudes I cover, the inspiring Trinny Tribers from around the world have all come together to share too. What broke my heart was the fact that this man gave so much over so many years, never giving up and it still wasn't enough. It's not fair. I mean, picture it: this guy could only see right on his left eye, had to relearn EVERYTHING with his left hand/arm (which means his stance, his balance, everything had to be relearned) and was still good enough to be a SEAL Team 6 member!!! In each chapter I set you a practical challenge, because there is a big difference between reading and action – it is action that propels us and allows us to make positive change in your own life. To represent the different ages, shapes, styles and attitudes I cover, the inspiring Trinny Tribers from around the world have all come together to share too. I think a lot of people rate this as 5 starts because anything less may be considered to be not "patriotic". The fact is that this book is good, but not great. It is an interesting read at points, less than interesting at other points.
